Hardware requirements
To use the SV-32, you need the following items:
Ethernet connection
Display monitor with a DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort input and DVI, HDMI, or
DisplayPort cable
USB keyboard
USB mouse
Site requirements
Prepare the site as follows:
Provide adequate ventilation. The SV-32 does not have a fan. Heat dispersion
is managed by the aluminum enclosure.
CAUTION If you are using multiple SV-32 units, do not stack them on top of one
another.
Clear space behind the SV-32. To prevent the SV-32 from accidentally
turning off, ensure nothing is touching (or is too close to) the power button.

Getting started
This section contains the basic procedures to get started using the SV-32.

the HDMI to DVI adapter or use the Display port. If it is not turned on, then
turn on the monitor.
Connect the keyboard and mouse to the two USB ports.
(Optional) Connect your speakers to the S/PDIF line-out jack.
Plug your Ethernet cable into either of the available Ethernet ports.
Insert the DC plug into the 12V DC input jack on the SV-32 and turn it clockwise until the plug is secured.
Getting started
Logging on
The first time you start the SV-32, you are automatically logged in as the Operator
user and the SV Control Panel and SV-32 setup wizard will open to guide you
through the initial setup of your system.
What you should know
You will only be logged on to Windows automatically the first time the
machine is started. After that, a Username and Password is required to log on
to the machine.
The SV Control Panel will only open automatically the first time the machine is
started. After that, a user will be prompted to enter Admin credentials to have
access to the SV Control Panel.

Product warranty
This section explains what is covered and what is not covered by the product
warranty.
What is covered
Genetec guarantees the product against defects in materials and assembly in the
course of normal use and service, for a period of 3 years from the date of shipment.
Genetec Hardware Warranties cover the product Hardware. Please contact
Genetec Technical Assistance for more information.

could void the users authority to operate this device.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits of a Class B
digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is
operated in a residential environment. This equipment generates, uses, and
radiates radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with
the instructions, may cause harmful interference. However, there is no guarantee
that interference will not occur. If this equipment does cause interference to radio
or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and
on, the user is encouraged to correct the interference by one of the following
measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from which the receiver
is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician.
