secretsupportofthechurchhierarchyonalllevels.

Martinalludedtothischildmolestingcultseveraltimesinhiswriting.

Hisassertionsareworthreviewingatlength,consideringthatmuchofwhatheclaimedtobetruehasrecentlycometolightinthepopularpress:
MostfrighteninglyforJohnPaul,hehadcomeupagainsttheirremovablepresenceofamalignstrengthinhisownVaticanandincertain
bishops'chanceries.ItwaswhatknowledgeableChurchmencalledthe'superforce.'

Inatleastthreemajorcities,membersoftheclergyhaveattheirdisposalatleastonepedophiliaccovenpeopledandmaintainedexclusivelybyandforthe
clergy.Womenreligiouscanfindalesbiancovenmaintainedinasimilarway.2

Ina1996bannedinterviewfortheAmericanFamilyAssociation,MalachiMartinalsoreportedthat1to2%ofpriestsintheRomanCatholicChurchare
practicingSatanistswhoareinvolvedwithsomeformofritualizedsexualabuse(AFA:August3,1996).

Hedrewthisstatisticfroma1996secretchurchstudythathereceivedfromaVaticansource.

Someofthecontentsofthisstudywereleakedtothemediaandhavebeenmadepublic.Vaticanofficialshavenevervoluntarilyreleasedanyoftheir
studiesconcerningthesexuallivesoftheirpriestsandnuns.AlldocumentswereanonymouslyleakedbywellmeaninghigherupsintheRomanCatholic
Church.

TherearethosegoodCatholicswhoremainwithintheChurchandleakdamningevidenceagainsttheVatican.WithoutthemtheinjusticeofCatholicclergy
abusewouldcontinue,andscoresofmorechildrenandwomenwouldsufferatthehandsofvileclerics.

Martinalsomentionstheexistenceof"MotherChapels"inthebannedAFAvideo,andstatesthattheywereSatanistcovensoperatingsecretlyinthe
CatholicChurch.TheexistenceoftheBlackRoomandDevil'sRoominthepreviouscasestudiespointstothisassertionasfact.Thereareinreality
variousadhocritualchambersusedbyCatholicpriestsfortheritualabuseofchildren.

WhatMartincalledLucifer'sLodgeortheSuperforcereferstoasmallcabalwithintheVaticanthatcontrolscertainaspectsofchurchpolicyandhasset
guidelinesallowingforwidescalesexualabusebyCatholicclericsasmallnumberofwhomareinvolvedinsatanicritualabuse.Thisfactionismerelya
componentofagreaterconspiracythatoperateswithinandoutsideoftheRomanCatholicChurch.

ItmustbepointedoutthatthevastmajorityofCatholicclergyneverbreaktheirvowsofcelibacy.Furthermore,theaverageCatholicclericwhosexually
abuseshelplessvictimsisnotanovertSatanistoraLuciferianinthattheydonotworshipormimicthePrinceofthisWorld.

However,averysmallnumberofpriestsdoengageinSRAandhavecausedahugeamountofdamagewhileenjoyingthefullbackingoftheirrespective
bishopswhobentoverbackwardstoenablethemtocontinuerituallyabusinginnocentboysandwomen.

ThepolicyofsilenceandcoveruppromotedbytheVaticanismindboggling.ThevastamountofdatawhichtheVaticancollectedconcerningthesexual
activityofclergymakesitclearthatthePopeandCuriawerewellawareofhowwidespreadandcommonthesexualabuseproblemwasintheChurch.It
didnothingtoredressthesituationbutcontinuedwithapolicyofcoverupandsilence.

ItseemsthattheonlyreasontheVaticanorderedthesesecretsexstudieswastogetaglobalpictureofwheretheystoodandtodevelopinformed
strategiesforhidingtheprobleminthefuture.Neverwasthewelfareofthevictimsofsexualabusetakenintoconsideration,norwasthequestionofbroken
chastityvowsapparentlyofanyrealconcern.

AlthoughtheChurchhasnotreleasedallthestatisticsitpossessesonclericalabuse,thecontentsthatwereleakedfromtheVaticansexabusedossier
arestartling.

TheSexualAbuseofNuns
"Accordingtothe1996surveyofnunsintheUnitedStates(whichwasintentionallyneverpublishedbytheChurchbutwasleakedbysome
Vaticaninsider),itisreportedthataminimumof34,000Catholicnuns(about40%ofallAmericannuns)[CORRECTNUMBERS??]claimto
havebeensexuallyabused.

Threeofeveryfourofthesenunsclaimedtheyweresexuallyvictimizedbyapriest,nun,orotherreligiousperson.Twooutoffivenunswho
statedtheyweresexuallyabusedclaimedthattheirexploitationincludedsomeformofgenitalcontact.Allnunswhoclaimedrepeatedsexual
exploitationreportedthattheywerepressuredbyreligioussuperiorsforsexualfavors."3

"The1994VaticanstudybySisterMauraO'Donohue,aphysicianandCatholicnun,linkedtheallegedsexualabuseofnunsinAfricatothe
spreadofAIDS.
'Sadly,thesistersalsoreportthatpriestshavesexuallyexploitedthembecausetheytoohadcometofearcontaminationwith
HIVbysexualcontact'withotherwomen,O'Donohuestated."4
"InNovember2001,PopeJohnPaulIIpubliclyapologizedforthesexualabuseofnunsbypriests.Butcriticsobservedthatthepapalapology
wasoneparagraphlongandburiedwithina120pagemessage("CatholicsinOceania"ofallobscuretopics)thatcoveredawiderangeof
issues."5
Organizations,includingtheNationalCoalitionofAmericanNuns,arecallingtotheCatholicChurchforaccountability.

TheircallincludesspecificallegationsagainsttheAmericanChurch,forexample:
"IntheUnitedStates,ChurchauthoritiesshieldedaparishpriestfromprosecutionbyreturninghimtothePhilippinessothathecouldeludea
lawsuitfiledbyawomanwhoasateenagerwassexuallyabusedbyhim."6
Aftersevenyearsofpublicreportsandinternalchurchmemos,thetruthaboutthesexualabuseofwomenbypriestsisstartingtosurface.

Articlesarebeginningtoappearinscatteredandcomparativelylowcirculationpublications,likeJaneEisner'sarticleintheJune16CenterDailyTimes,
"AbusedNunsGetScantAttention."

Thereportsallaskaversionofthesamequestion:Whenthe300AmericanbishopsrecentlymetinDallastoformulatepolicyonpriestswhosexually
abusechildren,whywastheabuseofwomennotmentioned?

ThissituationconcerningthepoortreatmentofnunsatthehandsofpervertpriestdemonstratesthattheactionsofFatherRobertMeffanarefarmore
commonthanpeoplebelieve.Theextentofthesexualabuseofnunsishuge,anditisnottoounlikelythatmuchofthisabuseinvolvestheLuciferiansex
magicthatMeffanwaspermittedtopracticebyCardinalBernardLaw.

Themediablackoutofthesexualabuseofwomenbyclericsinbothritualandnonritualcasesisagreatdisgrace.Theplightofmalechildrenwhosuffer
underabusivepriestsis,ofcourse,horrifyingandshouldreceivewidemediacoverage.

However,thesexualabuseofnunsandwomenbyclericsisafarlargerproblem.

TheMassachusettsAG'sReportonPriestPedophilia

TheAttorneyGeneralofMassachusetts,ThomasReilly,calledtheclergysexualabusescandalintheArchdioceseofBoston"thegreatesttragedyto
befallchildrenever"inMassachusetts,onethatinvolvedfarmorepriestsandmanymorevictimsthan18monthsoftraumaticpublicdisclosureshave
suggested.7

Reilly,inreleasingthereportona16monthinvestigation,saidthatoversixdecadesatleast237priestsand13otherchurchemployeeswereaccusedof
molestingatleast789minors.Reillysaidtheactualnumberofvictimsmaybemuchhigher,andprobablyexceeds1,000.8

ButReillyalsosaidthat,thoughhewisheditwereotherwise,hecouldfindnocriminalstatuteunderwhichhecouldprosecutechurchleaders,including
CardinalLaw.

Nonetheless,heconcludedthatLaw,histwopredecessorsasarchbishop,andnumeroussubordinatebishopsfacilitatedtheyearsofabuse,protecting
prieststimeandagainwhileleavingchildrenvulnerable.
"Themistreatmentofchildrenwassomassiveandsoprolongedthatitbordersontheunbelievable,"Reillysaid.Churchleaders,hesaid,"in
effect,sacrificedchildrenformany,manyyears."9
ThereportalsocitedevidencethatLaw"hadfirsthandknowledgeoftheproblemofclergysexualabuseofchildrenformanyyears"evenbeforehe
becamearchbishopofBostonin1984.

Reilly'soffice,whichhadtousegrandjurysubpoenastoforcedisclosuresbychurchofficials,discoveredfreshevidenceofeffortsbyLaw'sdeputies,five
ofwhomnowheadtheirowndioceses,tohidetheproblemfromthepublic,andsometimesfrominquiringlawenforcementofficials.10

Forexample:
"BishopRobertJ.Banksin1984urgedprosecutorsandajudgetobelenienttowardtheRev.EugeneM.O'Sullivan,whohadpleadedguiltyto
rapinganaltarboy.Banks,accordingtothereport,knewsomethingprosecutorsdidn'tthatO'Sullivanhadothervictims.Banksisnowthe
bishopofGreenBay,Wisconsin,asmentionedinthechapteronFatherKunz."11

"AfteraHinghampastor,theRev.JohnR.Hanlon,wasindictedonrapechargesin1992,BishopAlfredC.Hughesdidnotdisclosetothelaw
enforcementofficialswhocontactedhimthatasecondvictimofHanlonhadcomplainedtothearchdiocese.Hughesisnowarchbishopof
NewOrleans."12

"'Evennow'thereportsaid,'theprocessprotectspriestsattheexpenseofvictims'whencomplaintsarelodgedbygivingthearchbishop
discretiononwhethertoinvestigate.Also,Reillysaid,thelayreviewboarddoesnothaveindependencefromthearchbishop,andthereisstill
noprovisiontomonitorthebehaviorofaccusedpriestswhohavebeenremovedfromministry."13

MessiahsintheSewer

IntryingtounderstandtheentirephenomenonofclergysexualabuseandtheSatanicRitualelementsfoundinsomeofthecases,onemustaskifthereis
somehistoricalprecedentfortheseoccultpractices.Theanswerisyes.

Christianhistoryisfullofvariousheresiesthathaveinvolvedoccultsexritualsaspartoftheirtheologyandspiritualpractice.Inanearlierchapter,the
existenceofan"undergroundsewer"(ametaphorborrowedfromSaintThomasAquinas)wasexaminedwhereintheexistenceofvariouschurchrunbrothels
wasproven.

Asmentioned,itiswithinthisundergroundsewerthatvarioussexualocculthereticalpracticescouldhavesurvivedrightunderthenoseofthechurch.
Theremayevenhavebeenvariouscultsthatcontinuedtoexistwithinthiscovertworldofsexandreligion.Oneheresythatmayhavesurvivedcould
explainmuchoftheoccultismandsexualabuserockingtheChurchinourday.

Tounderstandthisheresy,partofwhichhasbeencoveredinearlierchapters,wemusttraceitsrootsbacktothedawnofChristianity.
"AstheChristianFaithbegantomakeinroadsintheRomanEmpire,itinfuriatedJewswhosawthisnewfaithasaHebrewheresy.

PartoftheirreactiontothesuccessofthisspinofffaithwasoverthostilitybyJewstowardChristians.AsameanstolampoonChristians,
JewishscholarsbeganspreadingrumorsthatJesuswassexuallypromiscuousandunfaithfultohiswife.

ThisrumorappearsinthethirdcenturyTalmud,aJewishbookoflearningandphilosophyusedtotrainrabbis.TheTalmudclaimsthatJesus
wasthebastardsonofwhoreandwasanevilsorcererandvile(i.e.,sexuallydeviant)man."15

"ThisbeliefthatJesuswascorruptandsexuallyactivewasseenagaininthewritingsofCelsus,aPaganphilosopherwholivedinthesecond
centuryAD.CelsusstatedthatJesushadmanywivesandmistressesandthatthatwaswhyhewashatedduringhislife.Consequently,this
beliefmovedfromrumorsrepeatedbyJewishscholarsintothemainstreamoftheRomanEmpire."16

"ItwasnotuntilSt.ClementofAlexandria,alsointhesecondcentury,thatanyChristianleaderovertlydeniedthatJesusChristwasmarried.
ClementbelievedthatamarriedJesuswasinconsistentwithhisroleastheSavioroftheWorld.Notthatmarriagewouldhavedisqualified
him,butratherthathispublicministrywastoodemandingtoallowHimtheopportunityformarriage.

Consequently,Clement'srejectionofamarriedJesusclearlyillustratesthatmanyearlyChristiansbelievedJesushadawife.However,this
wasnotamatterofChurchdoctrinebutfellmorealongthelinesofatheologicalopinion."17
AtthesametimethatthisnotionofamarriedandsexuallypromiscuousJesuswascurrent,anotherstrangereligiousbeliefwasfermentingintheancient
worldthebeliefthatcertainindividualsweretheSecondComingofJesus.

Thisconvictionhasbeenneglectedbyscholars,andfew,ifany,historiansortheologianshaveaffordeditmuchexamination.Itisalargerphenomenonin
theannalsofWesternhistorythanonewouldcommonlybelieve.

Aswillbeseen,someofthesefalseMessiahs(IusethistermtodenoteonlythosewhoclaimedtobeJesusChrist)werealsoextremelyactivesexually
andmagicalintheirtheology,suggestingthattheymayhavebeeninfluencedbytheTalmudicviewofChrist.
"AroundthetimeofConstantine'sreignaMessiahnamedMosesofCretearose,andsoonamassedalargefollowing.Mosesclaimedtobe
theSaviorandrecruitedChristiansintohismovement.Heformedhisownarmyand,asameanstoputhisdivinitywherehismouthwas,
promisedtoreenactthemiracleofhisfamousOldTestamentnamesake.

MosesofCreteassembledhislegionoffollowersonabeachfrontandpromisedthesefullyarmoredsoldiersthathewouldpartthewaters

OvertwohundredyearslaterSt.GregoryofToursrecountsthestoryoftheMessiahofGevaudon.

InAD589amanclothedinanimalskinsbeganprofessingtobeChrist...andpreachedamongthepoor.Heofferedmagicalhealingservices
aspartofhisministryandbegantoattracthugecrowds.Soonhiscongregationswelledtoover3,000people,comprisedmostlyofilliterate
peasantsbut,reportsGregory,healsohaddevoutfollowersamonghighlyeducatedpriestsandreligious.

Asthe'Savior'movedthroughFrancemanytownsactuallycapitulatedandacknowledgedhimas'Christ,'mostlikelytoavoidconfrontation
withhishugenumberofsupporters,whofollowedhimindroves.18

"UponapproachingthetownofLePuythisGod/MansentnakedmalefollowersaheadtoconvertthelocalCatholicbishop.Thesenude
Apostlesturnedsomersaultsanddancedtheirwayintothebishop'scourt.Theprelateconsideredthemtobepossessedandsawnothingbut
troublecoming.

TheMessiahofGevaudonwasalsothefirstfalseChristreportedtobesexuallyactive.Gregorystatesthat'withhimhetookawomanwho
pretendedtobehissisterwhomhecalledMary.'ThechurchofficialswouldhavenoneofthisandsentassassinstostabthisfakeChristto
deathandsendhimtonextworld.

Afterhispassing,Gregorystatesthatmanyofhisfollowersconsideredhimtobeauthenticandevenbelievedthathisconsort(orsister)Mary
wasdivine,reportingthatshewasworshipedbyhisfollowers.Gregoryfurtherassertsthathefoundhimselfdebatingwiththefollowersofthe
MessiahofGevaudonmanyyearsafterthe'Savior's'death,thusprovingthatthiscultsurvivedforquitesometime."19

"AroundADH44anotherMessiahappearednamedEondeStella(AgeofHeaven),whobeganhisministryinNorthernFrance.Eonhadaflair
fororganizingand,afterdeclaringhimselfthe'SonofGodandJudgeoftheWorld,'formedhisownchurchwithpriestsandbishops.Eon's
followersconsistedmostlyofpoorfolkwhodividedtheirtimebetweenforagingintheforestforfoodandhearingtheirSaviorpreachonthe
natureofhisowndivinity.

Fearingarivalchurch,thelocalCatholicbishopofRouvencapturedEondeStellaandimprisonedhim.AsameanstoseeifthisSonofMan
couldlivesolelybyspiritualmeans,thebishopdeniedhimfoodandEondeStellasoondiedofstarvation.

HispriestsandbishopswereburntatthestakefortheirbeliefinEon'sdivinity,althoughnothingisrecordedconcerningwhatbecameofhis
manypoorfollowers."20
ThemostfamousoftheMedievalfalseMessiahswasTanchelmofAntwerp,whostartedoutasacourtierintheserviceoftheKingofFlandersduringthe
earlytwelfthcentury.

Afterabandoninghiscareerasadiplomat,Tanchelmsportedamonk'srobe,transformedhimselfintoafreelancepreacher,andbeganministeringto
peasants.Thisstrategyofgoing"straighttothepeople"provedeffective,asTanchelmsoonamassedahugefollowing.

HeassembledtwelveApostles,oneofwhomwasawomanhecalledMary,andbegancollectinghugesumsfromhisfollowersbycommandingthemto
stoptithingtotheChurchofRomeandstartgivinghimasmallportionofthesavings.
"Withthisnewwealth,Tanchelmgaveuphismonk'srobeandbeganlivinginthestyleofaking.Hehadthefinestclothes,luxurioushomes,
andtheadmirationofhisfanaticalfollowers.Inasurrealincident,TanchelmproclaimedthathewasbetrothedtotheVirginMary.Inan
elaboratemarriageceremony,TanchelmmarriedastatueoftheBlessedMotherandhisfollowersshoweredthenewcouplewiththeirown
jewelry.

Onecanonlyspeculateastowhetherornotthisunionwasconsummated.TheCatholicChurchcoulddolittleaboutTanchelm,ashis
followingwashugeandhewasprotectedbyzealousdevotees.TheChurchresortedtoanoldtricktheyhadTanchelmassassinatedbya
priestwhowasallowedtoapproachhim,andhediedofaquickknifethrust.

Thus,theChristofAntwerpsufferedthesamefateastheMessiahofGevaudondidalmost500yearsearlier."21

"ItisclearthattheancientnotionofamarriedJesusaccentedthebeliefsofatleastsomeofthesefalseMessiahs.Butwasthereany
movementthatsolidifiedthisoddnotionandcarrieditoverfromtheMiddleAgestomoderntimes?Amazingly,theanswerisyes.Areligious
movementcalledtheBrethrenoftheFreeSpiritemergedjustaftertheyearADi200andpreachedsomeverypertinenttheologicalconcepts.

ThisheresydeclaredthatGodiswithinusallandthattheChurchofRomeisunnecessaryforsalvation.TheBrethrencontendedthatevery
manandwomanis,ineffect,hisorherown'Christ,'withnoneedofanyGod.Asonecanimagine,theVaticanhadlittleuseortolerancefor
suchamovementandthosewhopreachedthedoctrinesoftheBrethrenoftheFreeSpiritwerepersecutedbyCatholicbishopsthroughout
Europe.

Themovementwasforcedtogounderground,whereitsteachingsbecameevenstranger."22

"TheBrethrenbelievedthemselvesdivineeachindividualwasa'Messiah'andcombinedthiswiththeconceptionthattheoriginalMessiah

IntertwiningSewerChurches

BrownfollowsthepremisefirststatedinHolyBlood,HolyGrail1980)byBaigent,Leigh,andLincoln,thatforcenturiestheRomanCatholicChurch
secretlyprotectedtheblooddescendentsofJesusChristandhisallegedspouseandcovertlysoughttogivethisbloodlinepoliticalpower.

TheMasonicBranch

AsJohannesNohlspointedoutinhismasterfulandwonderfulbookTheBlackDeath(1928),whentheyshookloosefromRome'scontrolandwereableto
practicetheirstrangebeliefswithoutVaticanintervention,theBrethrenoftheFreeSpiritintroduceddemonicandpornographicfrescostovariouschurch

Catholicoffshoot.

daughterEvapropagatedherfather'steachingswellintotheearly1800s,butwasthereanyotherextensionoftheFrankistcult?Astonishingly,theanswer

Frankismnotonlysurvived,butthrivedintheupperechelonsofEuropeanculture.

JewishhistorianMaxI.DimonttellsthestoryoftheFrankistDiasporainhisfamousbookGod,JewsandHistory(1961):
"ManyofthesebaptizedFrankists,comingfromscholarlyJewishbackgrounds,didnotlosetheirlearningatthebaptismalfont.Theyroseto
thehighestgovernmentpostsinPolandandRussia,marriednobilityandroyalty,andmayevenhavefatheredliberalelementsinthe
subsequenthistoryofthesetwonations."
RememberthatFrankistsconvertedtoRomanCatholicismasameanstopromoteJacobFrankastheMessiah,andnotbecausehebelievedinthetenets
oftheChurchofRome.

Furthermore,Frank'stheologyreflectedtheteachingsoftheBrethrenoftheFreeSpiritinthathebelievedsexualencountersduringreligiousrituals
representedtheoriginalteachingofJesusChrist.

MuchliketheBrethren,Franktaughtthateverymanwasa"Messiah"andneededtobeworshipedassuchinesotericsexceremonies.

Itmustbeconstantlyrememberedthatwhetherthissetofhereticalprinciplescamedownthroughadirectline,orreemergedasarevivalbasedonwritten
records,becomesalmostamootpointwhenoneconsidersthegreatdamagesuchsacrilegiousbeliefsandpracticeshavecausedtoscoresofvictimsover
thepast1,500years.

However,thereisnoreasonnottothinkthatFrank'sfollowersdidnotcovertlycontinuedhistheologywhiletheyassumedpositionsofhighpowerinEurope.
PerhapstheyquietlypracticedtheirFrankismuntiltheysawachancetohijacktheChurchofRomeintoconformingtoFrank'soriginalplan.Dimont
mentionsthattheseFrankistsweremostlikelytheharbingersofliberaltrendsinEurope.

TheirchanceatfinallymovingintofullcontrolofthePetrineOfficecameafterWorldWarII,whenliberalismbegantobecomepopularamongCatholic
prelates.

TheSecondVaticanCouncil,heldinthemid1960s,broughtanewliberalagendaintotheChurch.Strangelyenough,theChurchsoughtreconciliationwith

SatanistCatholicpriestslikeSeanFortuneandBernardJ.LanewerepracticingaformofLuciferianreligioneventhoughtheydidnotseektobe
worshipedasChrist.Indeed,theyperformedwhatMartinreferredtoas"theculminationoftheFallenAngel'srites"i.e.,therapeofmalechildren.Inthis
diabolicalscenariothechildbecomesasubstituteforChrist.

TheSatanistpriestdestroystheinnocenceofhisvictimasanattackupontheinnocenceofChrist.Inthissensethemalechildvictimbecomesaproxyfor
thesymbolicdestructionofGodaclearlyLuciferianpractice.LuciferianandSatanistpriestsaremerelydifferentsidesofthesamediaboliccoin,withthe
SatanistspracticingwhatisconsideredbythisculttobeasomewhathigherformofDevilworship.

TheChurchpolicyconcerningtheprotectionofthiscultwaswrittenbyCardinalAlfredoOttavianiin1962andwasintendedtobeasecretinternalVatican
documenttobereadonlybybishopsandcardinalsoftheChurchofRome.

Drivonsaidthisproveswhathehasallegedonbehalfofvictimsinpriestabuselawsuits:thatthechurchengagedinacrimeracketeering.
"It'saninstructionmanualonhowtodeceiveandhowtoprotectpedophiles,"Drivonsaid."Andexactlyhowtoavoidthetruthcomingout."44
OnceCBSreportedontheexistenceofthissecretdocument,Catholicprelatesbeganbackpeddling,claimingthedocumentwasrestrictedtosexcrimes
committedinconfession(i.e.,priestssolicitingsexduringtheCatholicsacramentofconfession).

Theyclaimedithadnothingtodowithchurchpolicyconcerningchildmolestingpriests.However,theyneverexplainedhowbruteanimalsfitintothe
equation(remember,PaulShanleystatedthatitishealthyforchildrenandanimalstohavesex).

ButonemustaskwhetheranySatanistpriestswereprotectedbyabishopunderthispolicy?Theanswerisyes.

IrishTimesjournalistAlisonO'ConnorreportsinherbookMessagefromHeaven(2000)thatwhenBishopComiskywasinitiallyexposedforprotectingthe
SatanistFatherSeanFortunein1998,heclaimedthathecouldtakenoeffectiveactioninthematterbecausethesituationsinvolvedmattersofconfession
andthathewasboundbychurchpolicytoremainsilentonthematter.

Comiskywas,ineffect,appealingtothe1962OttavianidocumentandlettinghissuperiorsinRomeknowthathewasfollowingtheirdictatesconcerning
pervertpriests.

KeepinmindthatComiskymadethisstatementyearsbeforethedocumentwasleaked.Thistacticworked,asComiskywasgivenareprieveforseveral
yearsuntiltheBBCexposedtheextenttowhichheprotectedFortuneandallowedscoresmoreboystobemolestedbythepriest,afterwhichthebishop
wasforcedtoresign.

Thisleadstoanuncannystatisticconcerningthepriestabusefiasco.InareportfiledonFeb.27,2004,BostonGlobejournalistKevinCullenreported:
MostofthesexualabusereportedtotheRomanCatholicArchdioceseofBostonoverthelasthalfcenturytookplacebetween1965and1982,
andmorethanonethirdofthearchdiocesanpriestsaccusedofsexualabuseinthatperiodwereordainedbetween1960and1969,raising
morequestionsthananswersabouthowandwhyabusepeakedinthatera.

Amongthepriests,victims,advocates,andcliniciansinterviewed,somesuggestthatthepriestsresponsibleforthebulkofabusecameof
ageinamorepermissiveera,whenauthoritywasbeingchallengedatalllevelsandwhenthesexualrevolutionemboldenedthosewhowere
attractedtochildrenandteenagers.

OtherssaythatseminariesespeciallySt.JohnSeminaryinBrighton,whichisrunbytheBostonArchdiocesedidapoorjobofscreening
outpotentialabusers.

Stillotherssayitwasasimplyamatterofdemographics:thenumbersofpriestswhosexuallyabusedminorswerehighestwhenthetotal
numberofpriestsservinginthearchdiocesewashighest,andthenumberdwindledwiththedropinpriestsandthegrowingawarenessinthe
widersocietyofthedangersofthesexualabuseofchildren.
Cullen'sobservationreallybringshomethefactthatthePapalpolicyenactedattheSecondVaticanCouncilsetthestageforLucifer'sLodgetotakeover
theBostonArchdioceseandtherestoftheRomanCatholicChurch.

AcaseinpointiswhenCardinalLawrecommendedthatRev.GeorgeBertholdbegivenateachingpositionataSouthernseminary,eventhoughBerthold
wasdismissedasDeanofStudentsfromSt.John'sSeminaryBostonforattemptingtoinitiatea19yearoldseminarianintoasecretgaycultconsistingof
priestsandseminarians.

LawclaimedBertholdhadaspotlessrecordinBostonevenwhenremovinghimforpredatoryhomosexualactivityafterstudentsrepeatedlycomplained.

CatholicChurch(2002)].

TheCatholicbranchoftheundergroundsewersurvivedinFrankistliberalideasheldbyclericsonthefringesoftheRomanCatholicChurch,andwaswhat
MalachiMartincalled"Lucifer'sLodge."

ThisperipheralmovementhadmostlikelyexistedwithintheChurchsincethetimeofJacobFrank.ItwasgrantedalicensetooperatefreelybytheSecond
VaticanCouncilandwouldenjoythefullprotectionofthePetrineOfficeuntilitwasexposedin2002bytheBostonGlobe.

Beforeitwasuncovered,however,Lucifer'sLodgemayhaveexecutedoneofthemostspectaculardiversionarytacticsinthehistoryofpropaganda.

TheRomanCatholicChurchandSatanicPanic

InChapterOnethefactthattheRomanCatholicChurchwasattheheartofmuchofthesatanicpanicscareofthe1980swassuggested.Acloser
examinationofthisassertionillustratestheshadowyhandthattheCatholicLucifer'sLodgehadinthespreadofthiswitchcrafthysteria.

ThepopularbookMichelleRemembers(1980)reallysetthestageforthehysteriathatwastoengulftheUnitedStatesandsendinnocentpeopletoprison.
ItwaswrittenbyaCatholicand,althoughitwaslaterproventobeafraud,itgreatlyinfluencedthepolicemen,socialworkers,clergy,andnewsmenwho
fueledthismasspanic.

MichelleSmithcouldnothavedoneabetterjobpromotinganatmosphereofsuspicion,fear,andultimatelydisbeliefconcerningtheexistenceofsecret
Satanistcovensthatabusedchildren.

Lucifer'sLodgemayhaveexploitedthefrenzypromotedbythisbookasameanstodivertattentionfromtheirownritualabuseofchildren.

WhenthefirstaccusationsagainstchildcareworkersattheMcMartinpreschooleruptedinCalifornia,itwastheAmericanMartyrsCatholicChurchthat
spearheadedandorganizedmuchofthehypeandhysteriathatovertooktheregion.

ThisledauthorPaulEberletowritethat,
"theChurchwasveryaccommodatingwiththelynchmob"(andhepointedoutthatmostoftheaccusingparentsweremembersofthe
AmericanMartyrsChurch.TheywerestronglyurgedbytheChurchtofilechargeshoweverabsurdagainsttheclearlyinnocentchildcare
workers.)
Meanwhile,pedophilepriestsquietlymolestedchildrenintheArchdioceseofLosAngelesandtheDioceseofOrangeCountywiththefullknowledgeofthe
twoChanceries,bothquitenearwheretheAmericanMartyrsChurchandtheMcMartinSchoolwerelocated.

FatherCarlosReneRodriguezrapedchildrenwithoutfearofbeinghamperedbythecivilauthorities.Theyweretwoofmorethan52priestsintheLos
Angeles/OrangeCountyareaaccusedofsexuallymolestingchildren.

Strangely,theBishopofOrangeCountyatthetimeoftheMcMartintrialwastheVen.WilliamJohnsonformerpastoroftheAmericanMartyrsChurch.
Johnsonwasappointedbishopini976andremainedinthispositionuntilhisdeathini986.WhilehisformerparishmembersprolongedtheSatanicPanic
thatovertookSouthernCalifornia,Johnsonwasquietlyshiftingchildmolestingpriestsaroundhisdiocese.

In1976JohnsonhiredFatherSiegfriedF.WideratoworkintheOrangeCountyDioceseeventhoughheknewthiscuratehadbeenremovedfromaparish
inWisconsinforrapingchildren.WideracontinuedtomolestchildrenwiththefullknowledgeofJohnsonuntil1985,whentoomanycomplaintsfloodedthe
diocesanofficeandWiderawastransferredoutofstate.

TheMcMartincaseshiftedpublicandespeciallymediaattentionofftheCatholicChurchandgaveJohnsontheleewaytoprotectWideraandothersexually
deviantpriests.HisformerparishfueledtheflamesoftheMcMartintrialasasmokescreenwhileLucifer'sLodgewentaboutitsvilebusinessinSouthern
California.Itishardtobelievethatalloftheconnectingfactorscouldbeamatterofpurecoincidence.

TheothermajorSatanicPaniccasetookplaceinMalden,MassachusettsattheFellsAcrePreschool.ItmustberecalledthatFr.BernardJ.Lane,who
operatedtheAlphaOmegaHouseinLittleton,Massachusetts,hadstrongtiestothecityofMalden.LanewasassignedtoMaldenCatholicHighSchooland
openedhisfirsttreatmentcenterfordrugaddictedyouthsinMalden.

AccordingtoaBostonGlobereportbyMattCarroll,filedonMarch25,2002,theAlphaOmegaHousewasactuallyheadquarteredinMaldenjustashort
walkfromtheFellsAcrePreschoolunderanonprofitsecularcharitycalledAdolescentCounselinginDevelopment,Inc.(ACD)foundedbyBernardJ.
Laneandothers.

EvenafterLanewasremovedfromtheAlphaOmegaHousebystateofficials,heremainedontheboardofACD.Thisnonprofitcontinuedtooperateuntil
1988,whenitwasofficiallytakenoverbytheArchdioceseofBostonandchangeditsnametoLifeResources,Inc.,whichiscurrentlybeingsuedby
victimsofLane.

Lane'sreplacementatAlphaOmegaHousewasFatherRev.C.MelvinSurette,whowaslateraccusedofmolestingchildrenatAlphaOmega.Evenmore
disturbingarethechargesfiledagainstDr.ScottWard,M.D.,apsychiatristhiredbyACDtoworkattheAlphaOmegaHouse.

SeveraloftheAlphaOmegaboyslateraccusedWardofmolestingthem,andafterheleftMassachusettsandmovedtoPhiladelphia,Wardlaterfaced
chargesforallegedlyabusingateenageboyinhisnewstate.ItseemsthatDr.Wardemployedsomeformofmindcontrolorbrainwashingtechniqueonhis
victimssimilartothemethodsusedonElizabethSmart.

AccordingtoanotherBostonGlobearticlefiledonMay27,2002,Dr.Wardactuallycalleduponeoftheboyswhomheallegedlysexuallyvictimizedin
MassachusettsandaskedhimtospeakasacharacterwitnessathistrialforchildrapeinPennsylvania.PerhapsWardhadplantedsomehypnotictrigger
codeinthevictimsothathewouldrespondinfavorablewaysabouthimifquestionedbythepolice.Asapsychiatrist,Wardwouldhaveknownhowto
implantandactivatesuchacontrolledresponse.

WhiletheAmiraultFamilywasarraignedattheMaldenCourtHouseandwaseventuallytriedandsenttoprison,theACDquietlyoperatedunderLane's
guidance.

ManyoftheparentsoftheallegedvictimsattheFellsAcreSchoolwereCatholicswhobelongedtothelocalparishchurchwhereLaneonceserved.As
parentsandsocialworkersforcedchildrentoconcoctstoriesconcerninga"secretmagicroom"wherechildrenweresexuallyabused,theACDstaffcalmly
sataroundthecorner,knowingfullwellthatLaneactuallytookyoungboystoarealritualchambercalledtheBlackRoom.
