Finishing Ben Franklin report:


Brainstorming structure and style
openers and intro sentences pg. 176

Using Topic B information, create your


fused outline
For topic A using your fused outline,
type your first paragraph on topic A.
Make sure when you are writing your
paragraph you have the following: 1) a
clear topic sentence 2) dress ups 3)
sentence openers 4) clear clincher and
NO BANNED WORDS!
PRINT OUT TOPIC A PARAGRAPH 1 AND
BRING IT TO CLASS FOR PEER EDIT
Type topic B (paragraph 2) up and add it
underneath topic A when typing. It will
be the 2nd paragraph in your multiparagraph report
Make sure when you are writing your
paragraph you have the following: 1) a
clear topic sentence 2) dress ups 3)
sentence openers 4) clear clincher and
NO BANNED WORDS!
Type topic C (paragraph 3) up and add it
underneath topic B when typing. It will
be the 3rd paragraph in your multiparagraph report
Print out your 3 paragraph report and
bring it to class.
Create a list of topics you want to
create a research paper on. Bring that
list to class.
Finish your report: add your
introductory sentence as your first
sentence of the entire report. Add your

Writing is a process rearranging,


rewording, even deleting does not
indicate you are a poor writerit actually
shows me that you are a very good
writer!
Seeing your paper objectively 24 hours
Having another person read your paper
and give you feedback is WONDERFUL!
Questions to ask yourself in the revising
process
Peer editing can the editor answer yes
to all the questions?
Review: What does it mean to edit your
paper? What are you looking for?
It is always helpful to have a second set
of eyes looking at your paper we will
peer edit
Use the checklist to find and correct
errors
Peer Editing: Reread peer paper with an
eye for actual errors grammar,
mechanics, spelling, capitalization, and
punctuation.

rough draft.

GENERAL FORMAT and FIRST PAGE
formats listed.
Use the grading sheet to ensure you
have everything to receive the best
possible grade.

Once you have completed all of the


formatting of your final draft you
will email the following items by
