What is STEM?
Science,
Technology,
Engineering
and
Math are often put together.
There are
good reasons for this theres a lot
of integration between these fields and
collaboration between their respective
professionals but a clearer picture of
each area cant hurt. This is why the Boy
Scouts of America have created NOVA modules
that address these areas and more. Best of
all, when STEM and writing are combined,
Scouts actually learn better.
Research
has shown that students grasp STEM concepts
faster and remember them longer when they
learn them not as rote facts, but through
a story. Stories stimulate parts of the
brain that straight memorization doesnt
and when we use them, we can harness more
brain power. Cool!

Come to one of the only museums to experience their extensive fossil and
mineral collections to have your Cub Scout/Webelos earn their Down and
Dirty NOVA Module and the Boy Scouts/Venturers will get to relate with the
upcoming Egypt exhibit to help them achieve the Designed to Crunch/Numbers
