1. Placement
Students are encouraged to apply for their industrial training on their own.
However, the place chosen must be able to give students adequate exposure in
area of study. Hence, a research on the proposed company is highly
recommended. The documents needed when applying for an industrial training
are:

2. Students Responsibilities
a) Student is required to register this industrial training as a subject during the
current semester registration. The training will officially begin after week 15
of every academic calendar. Week 15 will be counted as week 1 of their
training. Student must complete 10 (ten) weeks of training and return for
registration during registration week for their final semester.
b) There will be a meeting on placement confirmation in week 10 of the
academic calendar to finalize placements for all students and briefing on
weekly report submissions.
c) The student is required to inform LUCT (Miss Shezar) upon receiving an
Acceptance Letter from the organization applied.
d) Upon reporting for the Industrial Training at the organization, the student is
required to submit Industrial Training Reply Form as shown in Appendix
II and Industrial Training Notification in Appendix III via email to
Miss Shezar from Faculty of Design Innovation (FDI) within 5 (five) working
days. Please email Miss Shezar at shezarbpd6@gmail.com
e) During the training, the students conduct must be in accordance with the
university and organization working schemes, rules and regulations.
f) Each student is required to record their Daily Learning Outcome (DLO) which
is a daily diary of the students training activity throughout their ten weeks
training. From the DLO the student will need to summarize 5 days of work
and write a Weekly Report for submission via email to Miss Shezar
(shezarbpd6@gmail.com). This Weekly Report must be submitted every
Friday evening (after work) for ten weeks. The reports are to ensure weekly
attendance and performance progress.

g) Upon returning for classes in their final semester, student will need to submit
the Students Performance Evaluation Form (Original copy), assessed by their
training supervisor from the industry to Miss Shezar. Please note that the
Evaluation Form will be emailed to all students in week 6 of their training or
earlier.
h) The student is required to complete Industrial Training Report when they
return and register for the new semester. Miss Shezar will brief all students
on the training report during the first week of class.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING FOR STUDENTS
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology has been established in response to the
industrys needs for well-trained people. We place a high emphasis on practical applied
knowledge as well as academic excellence. Excellence in creativity is our hallmark.
We would like to invite your company to join us in giving the students an experience in the
industry; hence they are required to undergo internship with you for TEN (10) Weeks.
You, at the end of the course, will evaluate their performance. It is up to the discretion of
your company whether these students are paid an allowance or not. The objective of this
course is to expose the students to the actual practice of the industry, to get a hands-on
experience in the area of their studies.
