Honors Physics 9
Mr. Yackuboskey
February 1, 2017
I have gained many life skills in my freshman physics class. I have learned how find
velocity and acceleration, make position-time graphs, and calculate slope on different lines. In
the first semester, I struggled to understand the idea and the different problems and equations. I
had to try even harder by studying more, and working with the formulas outside of class. Physics
has taught me to never give up or lose faith in yourself, because with hard work, you will see
improvement.
The assignments that I chose is a test that I did poorly on in the beginning of the year, and
then I chose a test that I did significantly better on. Even though I am not proud on either grade,
it shows that even if you dont understand something, you can still try to improve how your
performance to be even better than the last time. Even if you only do 1% better that still means
that you are improving, and you can aim to do even better than that score the next exam. Physics
has taught me that when you dont understand something, thats just a greater reason to try even
harder than everyone else to get better grades. That is a life skill that I will never forget and has
the possibilities to get me far in life.
I am still trying hard to understand the material that we learn in class, but I dont plan to
give up when things get hard. I am going to try harder each test or assignment and prove to
myself and others, that good things dont only take time, but they also take determination and
effort, and that is a life skill I will never forget.
