REPAR One-component mineral anti-corrosion primer for concrete reinforcement.

FERROPROTECT

Description REPAR FERROPROTECT is a powder, based on Portland

cement, silica, spray-dried acrylic polymer and special
corrosion inhibiting additives. Mixed with water it forms a
slurry, which can be applied by brush as corrosion protection
on concrete reinforcement steel.

Very efficient in the corrosion protection of steel

reinforcement due to the presence of Multiple Anti corrosion
Synergies and migrating and contact corrosion inhibitors.

Advantages Easy to apply by brush

Optimal adhesion to the substrate.
Only water to add, does not contain any solvent or
toxic ingredients
Protects the rebars against corrosion caused by the
presence of oxygen, and water, and protects against
chloride aggression.

Use As corrosion protection of the iron rebars after removal of the

rust particles, and immediately before the application of a
repair mortar especially in areas with poor concrete cover, or
where aggressive de-icing salt penetration is likely to occur.

As temporary protection of unprotected steel.

Application Remove all concrete cover over the damaged rebars.

Clean to pure steel by sandblasting
Mix carefully the powder with about 30 % water untill
a creamy lumpfree consistency is obtained
Allow to saturate for a few minutes and remix again
for 30 seconds
Apply with a soft brush a layer of 1 mm on the
prepared metal within 30 minutes
Apply the second layer as soon as the first one is
sufficiently hardened

thickness.

Packaging Pails of 5 Kg

Storage Can be kept for 6 months to 1 year in the unopened

packaging, if stored dry and protected from any moisture .

Health precautions
REPAR FERROPROTECT: Like all cement, lime, based products,
skin and eyes can be irritated. Wear always gloves and safety
glasses. Keep out of reach of children. Do not inhale the
powder. In case of contact with eyes or skin, wash abundantly
with water, and consult a doctor if irritation persists.
