3. Prerequisites and Co-requisites

Prerequisites :
ELS1201 - Pengantar Analisis Rangkaian
ELS2102 - Praktikum Rangkaian Elektrik

4. Course Objective and Outcome

The overall objective of this course is to explain theory, analysis and design of electric
circuits which cover DC circuit, AC circuit and Advanced Circuit Analysis.

At the end of this subject, students should be able to:

1. Apply phasor frequency domain analysis using various techniques.
2. Apply phasor concept to analyze AC power and three-phase circuits.
3. Deal with circuits containing magnetically coupled.

4. Draw Bode plot of transfer function and use frequency domain to analyze resonance
and filter networks.
5. Apply Laplace transform to analyze DC and AC steady state networks.
6. Apply Fourier series and Fourier transformation to analyze the networks with non-
sinusoidal excitation.
7. Analyze 2-port networks using various parameters.
8. Use SPICE to analyst DC and AC circuits.
9. Use Matlab as a tool to solve the network problems.

5. Tools Requirement
- SPICE
- Matlab

6. Course Format
The primary methods of learning will be classroom lecture and tutorial. There are twice
classes every week; each of class will be 100minutes. There will be lab session, quizzes
and homework.

7. Grading Procedure
The final grade will depend on individual's performance based on the various
components and the corresponding weights described below:

Exam Weighting (%)

Lab Work/Assignment/Project 15
Quiz 15
Mid Semester 35
Final Semester 35

Indices (index) will be definitely based on the final marks (as applied formally in IT Del)
described below:

A (79,5 x 100), AB (72 x < 79,5), B (64,5 x < 72), BC (57 x < 64,5), C(49,5 x < 57), (D
(34 x < 49,5), E (x < 34)
