Historical progression of humanity that is toward socialist and communist society has

continued. According to Turkish Communist Party, cause of crisis in the world is capitalism.

Turkish Communist Party opposes the capitalism. The only way is socialism for overcome the

problems. In addition, socialism is an obligation rather than choice for overcome the

problems. According to Turkish Communist Party, world has entered into socialist revolution

period and this period has not closed yet.1

I. Basic Concepts and Objectives

a. Quality and Identity of Turkish Communist Party

In this chapter, Turkish Communist Party emphasizes that proletariat as a whole.

According to Turkish Communist Party, proletariat is a tool of struggle of politics. Turkish

Communist Party based on perspectives of Marxism and Leninism. Main aim of Turkish

Communist Party is that campaigns socialist power and establishes socialism in Turkey.2

According to socialism, proletariats interests are important. Socialism believes that

proletariat is a tool that performs socialism. Marx and Engel emphasizes that all world

workers merge with together in Communist Manifesto.3

b. Objectives of Turkish Communist Party

Origin of socialism is a political revolution. Main purpose of Turkish Communist Party is

that performs the socialist revolution that is led by proletariat. Main target of socialism is a

creation of classless world with other socialist societies. Socialism purposes that rejection of

political and ideological attacks of bourgeoisie.4

According to Marxism, capitalism is destroyed by proletarian revolution. In this way,

proletarian revolution provides to remove director elites and achieve communism.

Communism supports classless society rather than solving of class conflict that is supported

by socialist democracy. Marx has objected that proletariat is used by bourgeoisie because of

interest.5

II. Program of Socialist Power

a. Political Structure

Turkish Communist Party reinforces the constitution of local organs of power that will

integrate all segments of society to participate in governing and designation of these organs

through free elections. Turkish Communist Party targets that states exist for all citizens.

Turkish Communist Party improves some policies that will ensure that state mechanism to be

effective and productive. In this way, it believes that difference between state and society is

removed.6

According to evolutionary socialism, proletariat has begun to participate some groups that

are union, political party etc. This situation has provided right to vote of working class.7

b. Basic Freedoms

Freedoms of expression, propaganda and organizations are indispensability for

establishment of socialist society. According to this clause, all individuals have right of

propaganda, expression and organizations. This clause of Turkish Communist Partys Program

is similar to liberalist view that individuals have rights from birth.8

Some groups that are abuser of religion and warmonger pose an obstacle against

development of societys freedom. So, these groups do not take advantage of propagandas

freedom. This clause of Turkish communist Partys Program opposes the liberalism.9

Gender differences cause discrimination. So, this situation is prevented with economic,

political, ideological and cultural measures. This clause of Turkish Communist Party reflects

to perspective of socialist feminism. According to socialist feminist, gender differences are a

consequence of class system.10

Living language and culture should be developed. This clause of Turkish Communist

Party reflects conservatism. Burke defined society as an association between living, dead and

be born people. In other words, institutions are conserved for next generation.11

c. Economic Structure

According to Turkish Communist Party, private property is main cause of inequalities in

institutions that are financial institutions, natural resources etc. So, Turkish Communist Party

follows a economic policy for removing of private property. Public property should have all

institutions.12

According to socialist, private property is unjust. Wealth should be obtained by society

with using of manpower. In addition, private property causes greed. So, private property

should be removed and public property should be brought. Turkish Communist Party

incorporates all institutions in public property. This situation is similar to perspective of

Orthodox Communism. Orthodox Communism agrees with social equality and common

ownership. So, manner of Turkish Communist Party opposes liberalism and conservatism

because liberalism and conservatism support private property. 13

d. Foreign Policy and Defense

In this chapter of Turkish Communist Partys Program emphasizes that imperialism is

removed from all economic, political, military and cultural organizations. Imperialism is other

dimension of capitalism. So, socialism opposes the imperialism.14

e. Creation of New Human

Turkish Communist Party evaluates fields of education, health, cultural as a whole for

individual express themselves socially. Turkish Communist Party purposes creating system of

social security that includes all citizens and all human necessity.15

Socialists support idea that includes justice, equality and freedom for everyone. So, this

perspective demonstrates the aim of creation of common society for everyone.16
