this is so students can get to know these teachers and what to expect of them.

How long have you been teaching?

Since 93. But, I've been teaching at Parkway Since 95.
Do you still see yourself teaching in five years?
I believe so,I want see through the changes
Why do you teach?
To help my students gain college level writing skills. Also, to show that
minority men can be professionals.

I teach spanish and chemistry

Since 2004
Do you have any advice for students?
Educate yourself, because the more education you have, the better quality
quality of life you will have and better opportunities

I advise students to think and to enjoy
Why do teach?
I love what I am doing. I think teaching art is very important in all
the schools because it gives kids a chance to be free thinkers.

Advice for Scholars- Art is a class and take it seriously. He knows how to get the classroom quiet. Not
strict but can enforce rules.

Advice for Scholars- I personally think that he is a good mentor and teacher he is very experienced.

What motivated you to teach?

There was a bully who was relentless in abusing me verbally and picking on
physically I had a teacher who not only stuck up for me against him, but
empowering me on how to respond to him. This is when I knew I wanted to do this
for others.
How long have you been teaching?
I've been teaching for 12 years, here at parkway
What is some advice that you can give students?
Pay attention. Participate regularly, and stay on task. Do all your homework and
class work.

Brian Cooper

How has your first year teaching at Parkway?

It has been up and down. Some days are better than others. It's a huge adjustment. It comes with
stresses and rewards.
What motivated you to teach?
Originally, I wanted to help change the stigma behind education. I have found many people have had a
poor learning experience in their high school years and I wanted to help change that for my students. I
wanted to make learning fun. I wanted every day to be a new discovery on how the world worked. I
wanted to inspire and enlighten students.
How long have you been teaching?
This is my first year on record.

Do you see yourself teaching in five years?
Yes.
