Release Notes for Open-Sankor
Introduction:
You have in your hand the latest version of Open-Sankor labeled 2.5.1. This new version
corrects several bugs.
Note that the software is called Open-Sankore since the version 1.30.
WARNING : A few W indows users have recently lost their Open-Sankor documents after an
installation. Whatever your operating system, it's strongly recommended to regularly backup your
documents, and mainly before installing this version. If you encounter this problem, please tell us on
http://open-sankore.org, Feedback button. We will contact you to examine the problem.

Corrected bugs
In some cases, text elements (RTE) with a link to another page, may not work.
In document mode, when a document is exported the imported, this will crash the application
A document exported then imported in the document
mode, if this document had a picture with an action
sound linked, the sound wasnt played.
Modifications of the student and teacher actions are effective after their creation
When a document is exported, its resources are not deleted
When a UBZ document is open with a double click, if it contains a image link with a sound, the
sound linked is correctly played

Corrected bugs
Document Mode : some deleted folders were back at next startup.
Issue : Media were not shown, in Student tab of TeacherBar (left panel).

With virtual keyboard set in fr-CH, keys then 'o' make a zoom.
Display zone chosen by user isn't kept.
An empty page is added when importing a PDF file.
When no Internet connection, an error message appears, but it's always in english.
When left panel is reduced, Action's text is badly truncated.
Crash when drawing Ellipsis on some MacOSX versions.
Selection frame of Line (of Drawing palette) is wrong after resize of the line.
Pages of an imported PDF are not well sized on the screen.
When capturing part of the screen from the Desktop mode, we don't automatically switch back to Board mode
anymore.

A "locked" object can nevertheless be deleted.
Crash with "Spot" application.
In Navigation tab, moving a page sometimes overwrite an adjacent page.
"Grapheur" application sometimes shows a message "It's can't be downloaded".
Shapes drawn with the Drawing palette don't appear in Podcast nor in Multi-screen mode.
Modification of the message appearing at starting.
Crash with "Nuancier" application.
Background color of Flash animations aren't the good ones.
Languages list is duplicated each time we enter the Preferences page.
A file joined to the TeacherGuide, created on MacOSX with accents in file name, cannot be opened if we import the
document on another Operating System.
Improvements
Possibility to align objects, relative to each other.
Arrows (and rounds) on extremities of lines and irregular polygons (of Drawing palette).
Possibility to close a free hand line (of Drawing palette). Object can therefore be filled with a color.
Possibility to change a posteriori an irregular polygon : in its own menu, "Return to creation mode".
Add a Web Search engine : "Data AbulEdu".
Add a stroke style, in Drawing palette : Dot Dash.
Possibility to sort items in the Teacher guide.
Possibility to Drag&Drop a picture to the Board, from its overview.
Reduced consumption of processor when viewing the Navigation tab.
Add Italian startup hints.
Automatic cleaning of subfolders of unused widgets, in Documents folders.
Improvement of Document mode : possibility to sort documents (by creation date, modification date, by name), and
multi-selection.
On Windows, /SILENT and /VERYSILENT arguments can be passed to the setup. Thus the warning window is not
shown.
Horizontal and vertical symmetry on shapes of Drawing palette.
Magnetism to help drawing a Line (of Drawing palette) horizontally, vertically, and at 45.
New application "Combinoscope".
Add Finnish and Hungarian translations.
Add OpenSankor version number with which a Document is created, in file "metadata.rdf", key "versionCreation".
Remove RichTextEditor tool, that is too heavy, and slow down use of OpenSankor.
Improvement of the Text tool : add same functionalities as the RichTextEditor had.
Improvement of switch between Selection and Edition mode, when clicking on objects created with Drawing palette.
Remove "cm" units on Compass application.
Restore "Line" in the tool bar. Eraser can be used on this kind of Line.

Corrected bugs
Upon return from Desktop mode to Board mode, RichTextEditor (RTE) that was selected is still selected, and its
menu bar is visible.
Widgets (including RTE) that have been removed from Board are physically deleted from the hard drive.
Bullets size grows with size of the associated text.
Height of RTE is correct and constant with each reloading.
"Loading..." message correctly disappear .
RTE is usable whatever OpenSankor's language. If OpenSankor is not in english nor in french, english is chosen
by default
Coloring of cells is preserved.
Fonts and Size dropdown lists are correctly initialized.
When changing Font or Size, it's took into account.
When centering text, bullets are centered too.

Possibility to indent paragraphs.

Corrected bugs
Wrong selected page when changing from Board to Document mode.
Double-click with Handle tool waste the current zoom factor.
When opening an old document, there is a black border surrounding the pages
Double-click on ZoomOut do not reinit the Zoom factor anymore
A text written in the "Rich Text Editor" (RTE) cannot be moved with the Magic Finger.
When the main menu is configured to appear at the bottom of the page, when we add a page, the "Student" tab ap-
pears under the menu.
RTE sometimes lose its height : it becomes a lot taller.
Double-click in RTE don't select a whole word.
Drawing palette must have the same z-order than the Stylus palette.
Magic Finger tool don't play a Sound Action when clicking on an Ellipse.
There is sometimes 2 buttons pressed at the same time in the palette "Regular polygons"
Crash when removing the "Spot" tool from the Board.
Spelling mistake in the message that appear when importing an already existing document.
When the Stylus palette has been moved at the top of the window, and we use the Capture tool to paste on the
Board, the Stylus palette move back to the bottom of the window.

Suppression of "Open Sankor Editor" of the menu.

Change icon of "Student" tab : from "Backpack" to "Hand pointing to the board".

Change order in TeacherGuide tabs. Prof tab : Actions, Files, Links. Student tab : Media, Files, Links.
In RTE, tables have a bigger thickness.
In RTE, suppression of font sizes 6 to 11. Addition of sizes 96 and 128.
In RTE, addition of buttons Size+ and Size-. They change font size.
We must have the edition cursor when adding a RTE to the Board.
Icons for filling with Diagonals or Points must be more readable, more explicit.
Icon for filling with Gradient must have only 2 colors.
When filling with Diagonals or Points, those diagonals or points must be more visible : thicker, further apart.
Calculators (Normal and Capricious) : the left panel must be more readable.
Capricious Calculator : its icon must be of a different color than the Normal Calculator.
Capricious Calculator : we must clearly see that we are in a "Capricious" configuration.
For non-official-release of Open-Sankor, show a message at startup, saying that this version must not be used in
Production.
In Preferences of Pen, addition of White color for the White background, and Black color for the Black background.
In Preferences, text "On Dark Background" must be more readable.
Left and right panels shrink gradually when closing/opening OpenSankor.
