Container Dry-Max is a specially formulated Bio degradable desiccant product designed to lower dew point inside

CONTAINER DESICCANTS- DRY MAX

Maxsorb*Container Dry bags provide an effective protection against condensation in containers and unit loads. During
transport, passing through different climatic zones, the air inside a container is subject to continuous change. When the
air warms up, the water vapour content increases which produces condensation when the air cools down again. This is a
continuous process, producing large amounts of water during the time it takes for the voyage to be completed. Drops of
water form on the contents of the container, resulting in mildew, fungi and rust. Foodstuffs packed in cardboard boxes
deteriorate labels on cans and bottles become damaged. Cardboard and paper packaging materials lose their protective
properties, become weak and generally look unattractive. Stacking of cardboard boxes becomes difficult as stacks
collapse.

The damages are avoidable by using Maxsorb* Container Dry Max, which prevents the relative humidity inside the container
from rising above 60% during transport and storage.

Maxsorb* Container DRY MAX Dry bags are made of strong, dust proof material which however, allows unhindered passage
of water vapor. The active ingredients are a combination of calcium chloride and Activated clay with a high water absorption
capacity. The calcium chloride absorbs the water vapor that is present in the air and changes it to water which is then
completely retained by the activated clay.

Required Desiccant bags

For a period of up to 8 weeks
*standard 20 foot container -20 kg.
*standard 40 foot container -40 kg.

The quantities are based on the goods inside the container being packed on wooden pallets. If a considerable
amount of dunnage wood is used, more may be necessary.
The bags must be placed either along the top of the pallets or between the planking of the pallets.
