Routers just rely on their routing table to send data and if the route is not in the routing table it will drop it?

A router will never ARP another router?

But a router will ARP the inside of a lan when searching for destination host?

I think you will have ARP between routers if the connection is an Ethernet one. Maybe somebody else confirms
this.

Think about how the router sends packets. It looks at the destination IP in the IP header. It finds the outgoing
interface by looking at the forwarding table (CEF). It then has to encapsulate the frame if it is Ethernet it has to
put the correct source and destination MAC in the Ethernet header.

How does the router know which DST MAC to put? It will ARP for it.

Hi NoCodeMonkey

Disbale the proxy arp on an internet gateway interface & see the traffic burst due to arp and slowness.
