Cell Membrane Model

Using the materials provided and working in pairs, design a model of

the cell membrane. Your model MUST include:

Phospholipids in a bilayer
Proteins
o Channel protein
o Peripheral protein
o Integral protein
Cholesterol
** Everything should have a label!

You should be able to pass a small ping pong ball through your channel
protein. A marble should also be able to pass through the bilayer. You will
present your membranes to the teacher in a gallery walk TOMORROW. You
should be prepared to discuss one of the methods of membrane transport we
have discussed in class.
