Patrick Henry was famous for his known dislike
for the acts the British passed. Unlike most
colonists, Patrick Henry was outspoken and
liberal with his speech. He gave many speeches
that inspired the Americans to fight and gave
them hope. If not for Patrick Henry, the
colonists would not have been willing to risk
so much for their freedom. Samuel Adams and
Patrick Henry were famous for flaming the
flames of the colonists anger and making them
want to fight harder out of their hatred for
the British.

h The result of Patrick Henrys life was the
winning of the American Revolution. He did
many other things too. One of his less famous
acts was to lead the militia against the
Governor of Virginia, Lord Dunmore. Lord
Dunmore tried to steal some gunpowder supplies
from Williamsburg. Patrick Henry led a small
group of minutemen to stop him and succeeded!
Patrick Henry also served as Governor in
Virginia in 1776. Sadly, he died in 1799 of
stomach cancer.
