Abstract
The emergence and development of entrepreneurship is an important phenomenon
in contemporary economies. Entrepreneurship is strongly linked to small and
medium sized enterprises (SMEs), which are the main developing force of the
developed market economies.The story of the Indian entrepreneurship is fills
with paradoxes.The Aim of the article is to elucidate the history of entrepreneu
rship,
its development stages,opportunities available in india, problems faced by entre
preneurs,funding pattern
and will also discuss various government plans available.
Objectives of the Study:
