families in Chinandega, Nica-ragua. Pray for the strength-
ening of the leadership, the men, and the families in the
church. Pray that Christ is boldly proclaimed and hearts
are changed as a result.

Friendship Folders
Please pass the Friendship Folders, for prayer requests and

is no one sitting at the end of an isle, please make sure the
worship guide gets passed.
Communion Cups
During the offering receptacles will be passed for communion
cups to be disposed. Please use these receptacles to dispose
of your cups.
Student Ministries
Student Ministries now meet Wednesdays at the Sommerville
home located at 3 South Murphy Way in Prescott located in
The Ranch at Prescott. Student Ministries will new start time is
6:30 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m.
Mens and Womens Bible Study
Men and Womens Bible studies are currently ongoing. Wom-
en meet Tuesday mornings and evenings and men on Thurs-
day mornings. See the churchs website for more information.
College Ministry
College Ministry will meet next on February 10 at the Drumms
house starting at 7 p.m. See the church website for more

 Monday
In response to yesterdays passage proving that Jesus
is King, read 1 Timothy 1:15-17. Consider praying through
these verses, remembering what Christ has done in your
life. End verse 17 by giving praise and thanksgiving to our
King!
Tuesday
1 Thessalonians 1:2-3: We give thanks to God always for
all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers,re-
membering before our God and Father your work of faith
and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord
Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Paul speaks of the combination of faith, hope,
and love. Paul is giving thanks to God that the Thessalo-
nian believers are showing evidence of these essential
marks of the Christian life. Pray that the Lord will continue,
to grow in you these marks, and thank Him for the work he
has already done.
Wednesday
GettingaDoctors second opinion is a common thing
when you are not fully sure of the first opinion you re-
ceive.It is a way to verify what is right and confirm an
appropriate direction. While this is true in medicine, it is
also true in other areas of life. Sadly, many Christians are
regularly making significant decisions in life with only
one opinion: their own. If Jeremiah is right, and The
heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wick-
ed, Then we cannot be fully sure of our own opinion of
things when making decisions. If you asked the average
believer, all would say they want to be wise. Nobody is
hoping to be the fool. And yet,Proverbs 12:15 The way
of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens
to advice. You cannot listen to advice if you do not first
seek it out. You cannot benefit from a second opinion if
you have only your own. Friend, be wise: seek wisdom.
Thursday
We want answers. It is the human way to figure it out.
When a trial lies before us, we cannot help but to take at
it immediately to solve the crooked equation: why is this
happening? We desire immediately to have it all straight-
ened out. In many things, this is a good god-given desire.
However, we must take great care not to allow our pride to
fuel this drive for having all the answers. God is not simple.
His ways are higher than ours. We should not expect that
we will figure out everything he is doing. We are reminded
by Solomon in Ecclesiastes 7:13-14, Consider the work of
God: who can make straight what he has made crooked?
In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adver-
sity consider: God has made the one as well as the other.
You cannot straighten what God has bent. You will never
fully understand all his ways, but you can trust his good
nature as your Father.
