How To Apply Online?

The online application procedure for SBI PO recruitment 2017 consists of five stages,
i.e.
1.visit the Banks website,
2.fill the form,
3.upload the photograph and signature,
4.pay the fees online, and
5.submit the form.
Facility of online registration of application and fee payment will be available from
07th February 2017 to 06th March 2017. However, you are well advised to complete
your application as early as possible to overcome last minute technical glitches or slow
internet speed and also so that you can then focus completely on preparing for success in
the examinations.
NOTE: have the required documents available at hand before starting to apply for a
smooth and quick application process. Remember, you can only login thrice to
complete your registration process.

Pre-requisites for Applying Online

Please go through the following pre-requisites to SBI PO apply online.
1. Email Id: which should be kept active till the declaration of results.
Communication like call letters, admit cards, etc will be provided through email
or the registered account.

2. Eligibility: Candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the
post applied for. Also, if you are applying under categories such as Ex
Servicemen, you will need dates and period of service.

3.Exam Centers: make a list of three cities each for the Prelims and the Mains
exams. Give them a preference.

4. Mark sheets / passing certificates: Class 10 marksheet is very important to

check your date of birth and spellings of your and your parent's name. Also, other
marksheets are required to get marks scored and year of passing, alongwith course
or degree. In case any of your qualifications provide grades, you will need to
convert them into percentages. You can do this by adding marks obtained in all
subjects for the whole course and then divide this by the sum of maximum marks
for all subjects including optionals. The percentage thus achieved should be
mentioned upto 2 decimal places without rounding off.

5. Work experience related documents: In case you have a work experience,

you should keep the joining and leaving dates available.

6. Scan of Photograph: Take a recent colour passport size photograph, with a

light background and in which your face is completely and clearly visible. The
face should not be covered, eyes should be clearly visible (with no red eye or
reflections in glasses, if you wear them) and you should not be wearing any cap /
hat / dark glasses. Scan this photograph such that the image size is between 20 kb
to 50 kb and the dimensions are 200 x 230 pixels. Save this as a .jpg image.

7.Scan of Signature: Sign with a black ink pen on white paper. Scan this
signature and crop the image to 140 x 60 pixels. The size of this image should be
between 10 kb - 20 kb. This signature will be verified against your signature on
the answersheet. So keep it yours. Signature should not be in capital letters.

8.Payment details: In case you are required to pay application fee, then you
should keep either of your Credit/ Debit card or netbanking details available, as
fee can only be submitted online.

Recruitment of Probationary Officers in State Bank of India. Then you will find a link
"Apply Online". Click this to reach the registration page.

Second Stage
In the second stage, candidates are required to fill the SBI PO online
application carefully. No change /edit will be allowed after you have submited the
application. However, you can save the application and complete it by going to the link
mentioned in First stage above and then filling in your registration details. This facility
will be available three times only. Please go through the following procedure:
1.Save the data already entered.
2.When the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be
generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
3.Candidates should note down the registration number and password.
4.They can re- open the saved data using registration number and password and
edit the particulars, if needed.
Note
Candidates are cautioned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false,
tampered/ fabricated and they should not suppress any material information while filling
up the application form.

Third Stage
In the third stage of the application procedure, candidates are required to upload scanned
images of their photograph and signature. Online application will not be registered
unless candidates upload photo and signature as per the instructions provided in pre-
requisites above.
Procedure for Uploading the Photograph and Signature
The procedure for uploading the images of photograph and signature are given below:
1.There will be two separate links for uploading Photograph and Signature.
2.Click on the respective link Upload Photograph / Signature.
3.Browse and select the location where the Scanned Photo / Signature file has
been saved.
4.Select the file by clicking on it.
5.Click the 'Upload' button.
Note
1.In case the face in the photograph or signature is unclear, the candidate's
application may be rejected.
2.In case the photograph or signature is unclear, the candidate may edit his
application and re-upload his photograph or signature.

Fourth Stage
In the fourth stage of the SBI PO Online application process, candidates are required to
pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application, following the
instructions available on the screen.
Application Fee and Intimation Charge
The SBI PO application fees as well as applicable intimation charges are given in the

Please read the following instructions carefully for the online payment of fees:
1.The payment can be made by using any one of the following modes of online
transactions:
(a) Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ Master Card/ Maestro),
(b) Credit Cards,
(c) Internet Banking,
(d) IMPS,
(e) Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
2.Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
3.On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form will
be generated.
4.If the online transaction is not successfully completed, please register again and
make payment online.
5.There is also a provision to reprint the e-Receipt and Application form
containing fee details, at later stage.

Fifth Stage
In the fifth and the last stage, the candidates should submit the data.
Note
1.Candidates are advised to take a printout of their system generated online
application form after submitting the application.
2.The printout of the application form is not to be sent to the Bank.
3.Not more than one application should be submitted by a candidate. In case of
multiple applications, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained
and the application fee / intimation charges paid for the other registrations will
stand forfeited.
4.Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of
this advertisement and/or an application in response thereto can be instituted only
in Mumbai and courts/ tribunals/ forums at Mumbai only shall have sole and
exclusive jurisdiction to try any cause/ dispute.

Conclusion
The Bank would admit to the test all the candidates applying for the posts with the
requisite fee on the basis of the information furnished in the online application and shall
determine their eligibility only at the time of interview.
