Terrorism of Russia

For common information and historical of terrorism, it is the one of the main problem

that occurs for long times around more than thousand years ago. All countries have to concern

with terrorism because it can happens in every country even inside and outside of country, and it

will often use violence action and destroy stability in the world. The cause of this problem has

many factors which are politics, religions, economics or revenges. For example, The Islamic

State of Iraq and Syria existed because of Religions problem and revenge(Isis) between Sunni

and Shi-ah, but Free Syrian Army (FSA)existed because of politics problem (Landis, 2014).

Both of these groups people are rebel in Syria. This problem can indicate that Syria be a victim

and was controlled by Iraq.

There are many countries worried about terrorism and it became to the international

problem. This is because terrorisms plan is demolition. Moreover, these people killed many

citizens even foreigners. For instance, Boko haram killed people around 6,644 people in

Nigeria. In addition, The death rate of people by terrorism increase to 32,658 per year which is

the greatest amount in 2014 (Boko haram, 2015). Likewise, the terrorism had tended to convince

or motivate foreigner to join with their campaign. For example, there are some of citizens in

Indonesia(Sunni) came to join with Isis for destroying Shi-AH (Ethan Harfenist, 2014).

However, there are many countries try to protect and bring peace to our world. In 2001, the

united stated and other countries such as Australia, United Kingdom and Ailed countries

established the Operation Enduring Freedom to fight and resist with terrorism. (Operation

Enduring Freedom Fast Facts, n.d.)

 18 September 2001, After happened the terrorism in The United stated, The United

Nations General Assembly made resolution by condemning the terrorism that was the main thing

of damaging peace and stability in our world (United Nations action to counter terrorism, n.d.).

For the success action, Syria allied with Russia for fighting with terrorism in Syria. In

September, 19 2015, Syria used Russias weapon to destroy Isiss military base in Syria and there

were 12 Isiss people died in Syria. Furthermore, there were many citizens in Syria pound in

Putin or Russias Government (Syrian army starts using new weapons from Russia, n.d). For

Failure action, the united state tries to attack the Isis by using the aero plane for many times, but

it failed. Not only the united state and Russia tried to destroy them but the other countries also

concerned too. This is the big issue that still happens and cannot ceases in the world. Some

people believe that the cause of the problem continue to exist because some countries receive the

benefit about economics such as oil or some valuable resources (US-led airstrikes destroy ISIS

oil & gas plant, n.d.).

Russia, one of the powerful country in this world, has biggest area in Asia and located

near Europe, is the main country have involved with terrorism, and there are terrorisms in

domestic and international. The president of Russia is sponsor of people who want to get

independence from Crimea in Ukraine. As known as, in the past Ukraine used to be rule by

Russia. Ukraine is main aim to bring benefit back to Russia especially eastern of Ukraine

(Kharkov, Luhansk, Donetsk, Crimea and Odesa). Most people in these cities that include

Ukrainian speaks Russia language and Russia people (Why Ukraine Is Such A Big Deal For

Russia, 2014). However, there are many citizens (western of Russia) are supported by The united
state and NATO. Their goal is want Ukraine to join with NATO (Simmons, Stokes and Poushter,

2015). If The united state and NATO can control all Ukraine, Russia will lose many advantages

(Russian policy towards Ukraine,2014).

The first main policy is that after Soviet Union collapsed, Russia wants Ukraine again.

According to the Putins quote More than 82% of the electorate took part in the vote. Over 96%

of them spoke out in favor of reuniting with Russia. These numbers speak for themselves

(Putin,2014). Russia gives right for Ukrainians to choose side between Russia and Ukraine. Most

of the people in Crimea, Ukraine satisfies to stay with Russia. In addition, Ukraine s people

already signed a treaty of accession with Russia that they willing to be under controlled by

Russia (President of Russia, 2014). Moreover, the president of Russia has plan to invade some

cities in Ukraine to give the assistances and support about the resources for Ukraine such as

natural gas and oil (ZeroHedge, 2015). For the last policy of Russia, Russia have plane to cut of

some Ukraine to be Russia to control eastern of Ukraine ( Sterbenz, 2015).

Undoubtedly, Russia and the US are the most fearsome militaries. Many times these two

nations are arguing against one certain issue. As mentioned earlier, currently it is seeming that

Russia really want to take over Crimea, which it is part of Ukraine. The main argument for this

issue is that if Russia deploys a military troop over Crimea, it will be against international treaty,

which considered that they invaded Ukraine. On the other hand, people of Crimea rather stay

with Russia as more than 80% vote that they want to be independent from Ukraine (President of

Russia, 2104). However, the United stated has announced that if Russia decided to deploy a
military troop in Crimea. They would face with global sanction, which leads by the United stated

and United nation (How far do EU-US sanctions on Russia go, 2014). For this reason, Russia has

been supporting Crimean citizens who want to free themselves from Ukraine. From my

perspective, I think that it is the Crimean rights if they decided that they want to be with Russia.

According to the United Declaration of Human rights, article 3 sections that everyone has

the right to life, liberty and security of a person in which Crimean want to be with Russia as

many of their culture and language are more Russian than Ukrainian, coupled with they found

that the governing system of Ukraine does not suit with their way (The Universal Declaration of

Human Rights, n.d.). Even though, being independent from one country is a big problem and the

United nation, which major support by the United stated, argue that deploy a military act in

another country, is a war crime, and claimed that Russia try to starting the war. In fact, as I am

the representative of Russia, I think that it is to free people; there is no reason to be against the

will of Crimea citizen if they want too. My advice to resolution is to use softer approach and

negotiate with both Ukrainian government, as well as creating a good image to the world why

they trying to deal with this problem. Furthermore, another resolution is to convince with

Ukrainian government to declare it as common border, with share resources and interest in

Crimea. Both governments could divide certain task in ruling this area. This solution will not

only solve in the problem, but also ties a tighter relationship between these two countries in the

long run.
