Answer for question 1
I am Janhavi Kelkar; I hail from Thane a place near Navi Mumbai. I am a Chemical
Engineer, passed out from Mumbai University in 2010. I have a work experience in
Water Treatment industry. I was working as a Techno- Proposal Engineer. My
previous company was Wipro. The job location was Navi Mumbai. I have total work
experience of 4 years. I joined company as GET (Graduate Engineering Trainee).
When I left Wipro to pursue Management Education I was Senior Proposal Engineer. I
had 2 promotions after every 2 years.
I have pursued PGDM from MIT School of Business in year 2014-2016. I have opted
for Marketing Specialisation. Our course is based on Case Study methodology. The
course duration is 2 years (full time)
My family consist of Father, Mother & younger brother. Father is Manager at
Mahindra & Mahindra. Mother was working in BMC but left job few years back & my
younger brother is pursuing BE in Electronics.

Glenmark Pharmaceutical is functional for last 39 years. It is one of a market leader
in Pharam sector. The company is globally in around 40 countries. This will help me
to learn in cross culture environment. I will get an opportunity is plan & execute
Marketing Plans for domestic & International Market. I am confident that I can learn
lot of new things and apply my current knowledge for the growth of the company as
well as my career enhancement. The company offers programs to upgrade skill set
of its employee as & when required.

Answer for question 3
I am a Chemical Engineer. In a pharmaceutical company a Chemical Engineer can
work efficient. Though there are courses of Pharmacy, chemical Engineers have
sound knowledge of chemical compound and chemistry. Also the production aspect
of the plant is covered in engineering syllabus.
I had a work experience as Techno- Proposal Engineer which is support system to
Marketing Department. I have good experience & practice of attending Technical as
well as commercial meetings with Client & consultant. I understand how to
understand Client requirement and pitch in the proposal to fulfil his requirement.
In management studies, I have learnt factors affecting Market, How market research
are conducted before launch of new products, how Ad campaigns are designed and
also about Consumer Behaviour.
I am a quick learner, agile and ready to adjust with the environment.

Yes I am a team player. Techno- Proposal Engineer we had a team of co- workers
from different discipline & department. The proposal had different aspect as
Technical Input, Electrical Input, Civil Input and Commercial/ logistic Input. Hence
the team consist of all discipline members. For discussion with client I moved with
marketing people.
After award of contract from Client we co-ordinated with project department &
delivery team for timely deliverables and efficient work with in dead line.

Qualities a manager should possess are:
a. Manager should possess a foresight: He can forecast future scenario of
business. Mental working out a plan gives him an idea how to implement it
practically and are there any constraints in implementation. If any constraints
then he can find solutions accordingly.
b. Innovative Ideas: The ideas can be simple but unique in nature. This will help
to differentiate him & the work done by him, It will finally help in
organisational growth. Creativity will give extra edge to his performance.
c. Sound knowledge of Domain: To Plan or execute plan he should have sound
knowledge of industry he is working for success. By this the subordinates and
colleagues & management team will have confidence on him.
d. Humane in approach: The manager who treat people with respect other
members and is rational with subordinates when they commit mistakes
attract more loyalty & respect from others. The people are ready to confide to
him.
e. Focused: All actions taken by him should be focused to well-being of
organisation, people working with him and of course for himself. Manager

should focused to achieve organisational objective and congruent individual
objectives with organisational objectives.
f. He should always look at the bigger picture and work out short term
objectives in line with long term objectives.

I am looking for good domain knowledge and implementation of the skills and
techniques which I possess. I want to be successful employee by use of sharpened
managerial skills and technical knowledge. The practical working will improve my
Managerial skills, decision making capacity. I will also learn factors affecting
industry. So after 5 years I am looking for responsible post with greater role and
responsibilities wherein I will take decisions for the well-being of company and also
enhance respect for company in competitors and society.

a. People who are not serious with their work. Find excuses to shed
responsibilities.
b. People who not serious in completing work to meet dead line.
c. People who cannot work in team.

f. People who do not contribute to output but are first to criticize.
Answer for question 9
Age is just a number for me. Google CEO is the youngest CEO. I will respect the
position and address the person. I am sure that the person has earned the position
due to his mettle. He must have sound technical as well as required managerial
qualities. I will always look forward to learn from him/ her.
Answer for question 10
Generally, company has a defined remuneration structure and I am sure this
company too has one. I believe company will be fair to me for chalking out
remuneration benefits for me.
I am looking forward for a remuneration which will justify my ability & qualification. I
have indicated last drawn salary in HR recruitment form provided to me by the
company before this interview.

Checklist before appearing for Interview:
1. Check venue, date and time of Interview.
2. Decide how to travel to the location of Interview.
3. Study Company: Understand their business area, competitors, culture, any
expansion planning in recent years and market position.
4. Decide on the attire. I will choose formal cloths (Indian or western formal) to
wear for interview and make them ready as in wash & iron the cloths.
5. Give care for looks. As I should not be overly dressed and should be
presentable.
6. Carry extra copy of Resume (Hard as well as soft copy).
7. Carry all formal documents like Certificates, Letters of achievements, Salary
slip.
8. Check and fill if any HR form or document I need to fill before interview which
Interviewer has shared via mail.
9. Brush up my knowledge & soft skills.
10.Prepare few questions and answer those questions as self-practice
