Job Summary:
We are currently looking for an Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will will
be responsible for hardware and software design activities for small building automation
systems. Applies engineering principles and practices for work on assigned projects. Designs
cost effective control solutions to meet project requirements.

Responsible for creating installation drawings, submittal drawings, as-built drawings, and
transition to service.
Reviews equipment submittals for incorporation into design.
Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action,
communication with staff, providing customer feedback and solutions.
Capability to advise and guide Level I Engineering Specialist.
Some travel possible with occasional overnight stays.
Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
Additional Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in engineering or related field of study preferred; or Associate's degree or
equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in HVAC, AAS, or BAS;
with a minimum of two (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and engineering drawing tools. Proficient
computer skills are required. Familiarity with the concepts of new construction and
renovation/retrofit.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, contract documents, control
drawings. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from customers and service personnel.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and
fundamentals of geometry and algebra. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,
percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to
interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and
deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
