A.) Theme: Keeping the Faith

B.) Scriptural Passage: 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NSRV) - I have competed well; I have finished the
race; I have kept the faith. From now on the crown the crown of righteousness awaits me,
which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but to all
who have longed for his appearance.

C.) Reflection:

During this time, it is very hard to stay steadfast to Jesus and see how God wants us to do
His will today. We go to Church every week, but are we truly present in the miracle that
is happening? Sometimes, we try to act like God is smaller and less powerful than he
really is. We take for granted the amazing Sacraments he gives us and the opportunities to
be authentic with each other. We try to fill ourselves up with temporary counterfeit joy.
The excitement soon leaves us, because as humans we long for the true form of joy which
is God. As Jesus says, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.

D.) Prayer:

Heavenly Father, keep me faithful to doing Your will. Show me the way. Help me to
know the difference between You and sin, and to be able to reject Satan. Teach me how to
put You first above all else, and to fix my eyes on you. Fill my heart with Your love. You
sacrificed Your only Son, for our sins, so we could be with You in Heaven for eternity.
Keep us faithful to You.
