Chapter 1.0
Introduction

This document is issued to provide the pre-filled format for controlling

systematic serious of actions for proposed Welding Procedure Specification (
PWPS).

It is written to provide the direction to welder for making production weld in

accordance with variables mentioned in API 1104.

Chapter 2.0
Scope Of Work

This Proposed Welding Procedure Specification (PWPS) specify the

conditions under which welding must be performed.
These conditions include the variables are described in API 1104
Welding of Pipelines and Related Facilities.
This Proposed Welding Procedure Specification (PWPS), is prepared in
order to obtain approval from TRANSCO/Engineer in order to proceed
with Procedure Qualification Recorded (PQR) on Test coupons, upon
succeeding the required tests vide PQR, then the Welding Procedure
Specification shall be final approved.
After that, welding Qualification Test (WQT) shall be performed with
respect to approved Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) in order to
start production in accordance of API 1104.
The following Flow Chart showing the sequence to start production.

- The Proposed Welding procedure Specifications has been prepared with respect to
essential variables in API 1104 (sub-clause 5.4).
- The essential variables has been considered in the proposed welding procedure
specifications ar as followings:-
