2 About This Version

2.1 Version Infromation


This version is CBS R002C02LG0305, which has been used by many sites. The engineer can
download the required software packages of this version from SUPPORT WEBSITE.

2.2 The Procedure of Downloading Software


Step 1 Obtain the version information from the engineer in relevant sites, such as CBS
R002C02LG0305
Step 2 Login SUPPROT WEBSITE, search the version CBS R002C02LG0305 and obtain the version
match table

3.2 Subsequent Processing


3.2.1 Creating the /usr/bin/sh File
Procedure

1. Log in to a server blade as the root user.


2. Check whether the sh file exists in the path /usr/bin.

# ls -dl /usr/bin/sh

If the system displays the following information, it indicates that the sh file exists.
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Jan 13 23:16 /usr/bin/sh -> /bin/sh

If the sh file does not exist, run the following command to create the sh file:

# ln -s /bin/sh /usr/bin/sh

3.2.2 Disabling the zmd service


Procedure

1. Log in to a server blade as the root user.


2. Disable the zmd service.

# /etc/init.d/novell-zmd stop
3. Check the status of the zmd server.

# /etc/init.d/novell-zmd status

The system displays the following information indicates the zmd server has been disabled.
Checking for ZENworks Management Daemon: unused

3.2.3 Modifying the dbshut File


Procedure

1. Log in to a server blade as the oracle user.


2. Modify the dbshut file.

Find the shutdown command in the file and add immediate after each shutdown command.

% vi $ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbshut

4. Set the size of /dev/shm to a value that is the sum of the value of memory_target and 4 GB.
Switch to the root user.
% su - root
Uninstall the /dev/shm file system.
# umount /dev/shm
Note: If cannot umont /dev/shm, please use the command: fuser -ck /dev/shm , and then
execute umount /dev/shm again.
Change the value of the field in bold to the actual size in /etc/fstab.
# vi /etc/fstab
The information similar to the following is displayed:
shm /dev/shm tmpfs size= 4g 0 0
Assume that the value of memory_target is 2 GB. You need to change the value of the
field in bold to 6 GB. If the value of memory_target is 8GB, You need to change the value
of the field in bold to 12 GB.
shm /dev/shm tmpfs size= 6G/12G 0 0
Mount the /dev/shm file system.
# mount /dev/shm
Switch to the oracle user.
# su oracle
Execute the commands as follows:
sqlplus /as sysdba
startup
alter system set fast_start_mttr_target=1800 scope=spfile;
alter system set LOG_CHECKPOINT_TIMEOUT=0 scope=spfile;
alter system set LOG_CHECKPOINT_INTERVAL=0 scope=spfile;

5. Modify the running mode of the database to be the noarchive mode, restart the database server to
make the modification take effect.
SQL> shutdown immediate;
SQL> startup mount;
SQL> alter database noarchivelog;
SQL> alter database open;
6. Create Tablespaces for Storing Application Data
Log in to host as the oracle user.
Create tablespaces.

3.2.5 Setting Time Zone


Procedure

1. Log in to a server blade as the root user.


2. Set Time Zone.

# vi /etc/profile.d/profile.csh

Add the following content at the end of the /etc/profile.d/profile.csh file.


setenv TZ TAIST-8

# vi /etc/profile.d/profile.sh

Add the following content at the end of the /etc/profile.d/profile.sh file.


export TZ=TAIST-8

3. Restart the cron process.


a. Restart the cron process.
# /etc/rc.d/cron restart
b. Check whether the cron process is started.

# ps -ef | grep cron | grep -v grep

4 Installing and Configuring the


iDeploy

4.1 Installing the iDeploy


Procedure

1. Copy the related iDeploy installation package to a PC.


2. Uncompress the Breeze_iDeploy_*********_win.zip installation package to a directory.

NOTE:
The directory cannot include Chinese characters.

Assume that after an installation package is uncompressed, all the files and folders are stored in
F:\iDeploy. The following operations take this directory as an example.

4.2 Obtaining installation Packages


Procedure

1. In F:\iDeploy\pkg, separately create the ENIP_install Service_install and Patch folder for storing
installation packages.
2. Copy the required installation packages to F:\iDeploy\pkg\ENIP_install. Service_install and Patch

4.3 Starting the iDeploy


Procedure

1. Access the F:\iDeploy\bin path.


2. Double-click startup.bat to start the iDeploy.

Figure 1 shows the successful startup interface of the iDeploy.

On the interface, 18080 indicates the default HTTP port number of the iDeploy. The following takes the
port number as an example.

NOTE:
To stop the iDeploy, you can close the window or double-click F:\iDeploy\bin\shutdown.bat.

4.4 Loging in to the iDeploy


Procedure

1. Start and configure the Internet Explorer.


a. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
b. Choose Privacy.
c. Don't choose Turn on Pop-up Blocker.
d. Click OK.
2. Type http://localhost:18080/ideploy in the address bar.

The iDeploy login page appears, as shown in Figure 1.

3. Type the user name and password.

The default user name and password are admin.

4.5 Creating an iDeploy Installation User


Procedure

1. Log in to all server blades as the root user.


2. Check whether the value of umask is 022.

# vi /etc/profile

If the value of umask is not 022, change the value to 022.

If the following line does not exist, add the following line:
umask 022

3. Create an iDeploy user.


Create an iDeploy user group.

For example, to create the usr_ins user group, run the following commands:

# groupadd -g 1001usr_ins

Create an iDeploy user.

For example, to create the usr_ins user in the user group, run the following commands:

# useradd -u 1001 -g 1001 -d /home/usr_ins -m -s /usr/bin/ksh usr_ins

# passwd usr_ins

The home directory of the usr_ins user is /home/usr_ins and its size is at least 2 GB.

4.6 Configuring the information about host


groups and hosts
Procedure

1. Log in to the iDeploy and choose Control Panel > Host Management > Manage Host Group The
Manage Host Group page appears.

2. Choose Control Panel > Host Management > Manage Host


The Manage Host page appears.

5 Installing the Platform Software

5.1 Creating an Installation Task


Procedure

1. Log in to the iDeploy, and then choose Task Management > Create Install Task.

The Create Task >> Select Install Package page appears. Then, add a task name.

2. Click Next.
Click Next. The Create Task>>Configure NE page appears. Configure the corresponding hosts.

3. Click Next.
Enter the Create Task>>Task Configuration page. Configure the IP address, node number, and
database information. See the information on the iDeploy interface.

4. Click Export.
The NE configuration information is exported. You can import the information when installing the
software of the service software.

5. Click Finish.
You can click Execute to perform an installation task.

5.2 Performing the Installation Task


5.2.1 Uploading Software
Procedure

1. On the iDeploy, choose Task Management > Unfinished Tasks.

The Unfinished Tasks page appears.


2. Click a task link.

The Execute Task page appears.

NOTE:
The icon indicates a breakpoint. You can click to cancel a breakpoint.
3. Click Deploy a package in Step List.

The Deploy a package page appears.

4. Click or next to a host.

If is displayed, it indicates that the software is uploaded


successfully.

5.2.2 Checking the Environment


Procedure

1. Click Check environment in Step List.

The Check environment page appears.

2. Click or next to a host.

3. If is displayed, the error notes:

6 Installing the CBS Service

6.1 Preparing for the Service Installation


Procedure

1. Log in to all server blades as the root user and execute the commands as follows:
chown R oracle:onistall /oracle;

Switch the oracle user and execute the commands as follows:


relink oracle;
2. Log in to the iDeploy and enter the page of CBS platform installation task. Click Start in Step List,
as shown in Figure 1.

3. Click to start the platform.

When each progress reaches 100%, it indicates that the CBS plarform is started successfully.

and FTP server drop-down list boxes respectively. An example is shown in Figure 1.

6.3 Performing Installation Task


6.3.1 Deploying Installation Packages
Procedure

1. Click Control Panel > Task Management > Unfinished Tasks. Click the existing CBS service
installation task, such as CBS_service.

TIP:
indicates a breakpoint. To cancel a breakpoint, click , and then the installation steps can be
performed in turn.
2. Click Deploy a package in Step List, the corresponding task page is displayed, as shown in Figure
1.

3. Click to start the deployment.

When each progress reaches 100%, it indicates that the deployment is successful.

6.3.2 Checking the Environment


Procedure

1. Click Check environment in Step List.

The Check environment page appears.

2. Click or next to a host.

If is displayed, it indicates that the environment is ready for platform


installation.

6.3.3 Load and Activate Service


Procedure

1. Check and make sure that license file $home/bin/licensescp.lic of SCP is replaced by a valid file.
2. Check and make sure that the CBS Platform is started.

NOTE:
Before perform the Load and Activate Service task, you must start the CBS platform at first.
3. Click Load and Activate Service in Step List.

The corresponding task page is displayed.

4. Click to perform installation.

When each progress reaches 100%, it indicates that the operation is performed successfully.

6.3.4 Stop service


Procedure

1. Click Stop service in Step List.

The corresponding task page is displayed.

2. Click to stop the running of the CBS platform.

When the progress of each node reaches 100%, it indicates that the CBS platform is stopped
successfully.

6.3.5 Install SER Module


Procedure

1. Click Install SER Module in Step List.

The corresponding task page is displayed.

2. Click to install the SER module.

When the installation progress reaches 100%, it indicates the installation successfully.

6.3.6 Install CHG Module

If SCP_CBP is displayed, the error notes:
