Research Methodology

Introduction

In this chapter the researchers will present the methodology of the study about the Factors

affecting good communicating skills of the grade 7 students. This chapter presents the discussion

on the research method, research instruments, procedures in our data gathering, samples and

participants in the experiment an data analysis.

Research Design

This study entitled Factors affecting good communicating skills of the grade 7 students is a

qualitative research that is to find an existing information and data regarding the factors affecting

good communicating skills in the modern times. This study discusses about the student current

language in communicating, reasons why students doesnt have good communicational skills.

The researchers decided to use qualitative approach to validate the observations on this study.
Research Method

This part of the chapter provides information on research methods. The research method has

been chosen to determine the factors affecting good communicating skills for the grade 7

students. The interview method will be used.

Research Locale

In this study, that data will be collected form grade 7 students of La Salle Academy Br. Raymund

Jeffrey St, Pala-o, Iligan City.

communicating skills. Furthermore, there will be dichotomous questions to which the

respondents that must answer yes or No. In case, the researchers will be able to limit their

responses that are still within the scope of the study. The study will have two (2) samples-boy

and girl, in each classroom in the grade 7 junior high level. The survey questions will be used to

achieve the main objective of the study.

Population and Sample

The research population for this study is the grade 7 junior high school student. In this study, the

participants should be ages 12 to 14 boy and girl in each classroom who are willing to

participate in this study. The study will use of students-respondents from La Salle Academy,

Iligan City. The respondents are those who are officially enrolled in grade 7.

Data Collection Procedure

The data for this research will be collected using questionnaires as a guide to interview. The

questions are formed by the researchers. The grade 7 students will be asked with 10 questions,

which is related to the participants experiences regarding English communicating skills. In the

questionnaire, open-minded questions and dichotomous questions will be asked to determine

whats stopping students from speaking English in communicating. After interviewing the grade

7 students, the researchers will collect the results and will analyze the data gathered.

Data Analysis

The grade 7 students will be part of this experimentation. The issue is common to students, that

having difficulties speaking English and not having the confidence to communicate with others.

This study is relevant, because of the data gathered it will help the researchers improve the

students confidence so that they will not have difficulties communicating in English.
