Alliance is the most important cause of WW1. At that time many countries

werent independent, some countries are colonized by motherland. For example

British dominated from Belgium. This motherland controlled and gave some help to

its colonies such as some military and economic helps. As a result, when its colonies

had problems, British will interfere and protect its colonies. Especially military

alliances, at that time it was obvious that their was a division among countries. This

phenomenon can cause conflict between different groups of alliances. As a result, the

most important cause of WW1 is Alliance. According to document cause of WW1

showed that some countries had no option but to declare war if one of their allies

declared war first.

In June 28, 1914 After Archduke Franz Ferdinand, (the heir to the Austria

Hungarian throne) and the princess Sophie, his wife went to Bosnia but they were

killed by the group of Serbia called Black Hand. Germany gave Austria-Hungary a

hand for revenge. At the time Russia and France came to help Serbia too. This is the

first start of the WW1. The obvious example that shows the alliance causes the

conflict among many countries is when Germany moved the troop to attack France.

Germany had to pass Belgium before entering France, but Belgium told Britain to be

neutral and not allow Germany to pass the country. As a result, this is cause the war

between Germany and Belgium for 3 years. Although Britain sent the armies to help

Belgium, Germany can get through France eventually. Because Britain and Belgium

dont let Germany pass through, it makes France have time to prepare for fighting

with Germany. Without Britain and Belgium, maybe France will lose a lot of people

and maybe Germany could get Paris.

While Germany was fighting with France, Russia where was allied with

France, sent its armies to fight with Germany. Germany knew Russias plan because

Russia used their radio waves which was public and Germany know Russia plan by

that and could conquer Russias army. It can be seen that skirmish between two

countries and the division between alliance countries can lead to a big war. Because

France and Russia was allies, Germany had to fight with both of them at the same

time and this make Germany became weaker. If Russia was not allied with France and

they did not come to help France, maybe Germany could get through France and won

this war.

Furthermore, Morocco, which was first controlled by Britain and later was

given to France. Even though Britain and France hated each other, they had the same

common thing that is they were terrified of Germany. So they became allies. Morocco

would like to be independent from the control of France. So Germany asked Morocco

to be their allies and if Germany won, they would help Morocco to be independent

and free from the control of France. This situation leads to more serious tension

between Germany and France. This shows us that France and Britain were also the

allies because of the benefit they can get from being the allies with each other.

Because of these conflicts, several countries split into different sides and each side

was trying to find the allies to make its power stronger.

To conclude, alliance causes the fight with each other which some of them

have no conflict with that country. In my opinion, the most important cause is

alliance. Moreover conflict between France and Germany, and Russia that allies with

France also fought with Germany. Morocco problem fueled the conflict between

France and Germany.
