General Focus of Plan: Increase students standard scores for mathematics on 2016-2017 Iowa
Assessments to a level of proficiency.
GOAL: When given the mid-year 2016-2017 Iowa Assessment of Mathematics Test, approximately
20% (4 students) of the students from the identified non-proficient group will score at or above the
standard score of 185.
Our intention would be for all 22 students who are non-proficient on the Iowa Assessment of
Mathematics Test to show growth on the 2016-2017 assessment.
Connection to the needs of the teacher, the Iowa teaching standards, and the student achievement
goals of the building and the school district: The 4th grade team identified non-proficient students
whose third grade standard score for mathematics was at or below 173 (ranging from 140-171). These
are students from both the general education and special education setting.
