    CONCLUSION AND RECCOMENDATIONS

    5.1 Conclusion

    Based on the panoramic radiographs, bone resorption increases with age in

    both genders.
    It can be concluded that females experience more bone resorption than

    males. Bone resorption tends to increases moving posteriorly, regardless of

    whether it was based on gender or age. Region 3 experiences more bone

    resorption than region 4 in both genders.

    5.2 Reccomendations

    1 Further researches should be conducted where the subjects medical

    record is known so that factors that involve bone resorption can be fully

    considered.
    2 Other radiographic techniques more suited for the evaluation of bone

    resorption can be used instead of panoramic radiographs.


    3 Prospective examinations on the same samples can be conducted.
