Professional Experience:

August 2010- December 2015 Kmart (Sears Holdings)


Cashier/Jewelry Merchandiser/Apparel Associate. Experience with POS systems and handling money. Assisted customers
in answering their questions, pointing them in the direction of items they need, and retuned items back to the sales floor. I
maintained fitting room/maintained the clothing on the sales floor. Experienced setting the ad for upcoming weeks (in
congruence with the weekly flyer, and marked items on clearance. I performed a jewelry audit every few weeks and
worked in the jewelry department weekly.

I am a full time TA in a 9:1:4 classroom with students diagnosed with ASD and other developmental delays. Job duties
include assisting in implementing behavior plans, working on activities of daily living, and any curriculum that needs to be
covered with the students. Some communication with families. Familiar with IEPs. CALM Trained.

I spend my summers as a full time TA helping students from ages 14 to 18. Students are diagnosed with various
developmental delays and ASD. (Day camp setting.) I work with three other TAs and one teacher. Typical days involve
academics including reviewing days of the week, months, light vocabulary, manners, and sharing/taking turns. Older
students work on social skills and life skills. Moderate physical activity: swimming, games, and PE curriculum
implemented.

September 2014-
December 2014 Internship in Psychology
120 hour internship with a high school counselor while attending Siena college. I took part in scheduling, meetings with AIS
students, IEP meetings, peer mediations, and I attended a Suburban Council meeting with representatives from NYSSCA.
I worked with one of the social workers in her sessions discussing addiction/ drugs (included interactive activities to help
the students become aware of the effects addiction can have on them).

November 18th/19th, 2016 NYSCCA Conference Tarrytown NY School Counselors: Making a Difference.
Two Days Spent in Terrytown, Ny. Activities included joining workshops, presentations from NYSSCA members and
associated professionals, participating in discussions, and networking opportunities.

being a member allows me to easily access and partake in those professional development opportunities.

December 8th, 2016 Practicum in School Counseling
120 hour practicum completed within the Sage Professional School Counseling Program. One day per week was spent
within the counseling office of Niskayuna High school where I partially observed, and partially participated in counseling
activities. Experience in running a new student small group and a study skills group, watching parent meetings, sitting in on
weekly student study meetings, and large group counseling. Experience using PowerSchool and Naviance.
January 3rd, 2017-
May 5th 2017 Internship in school counseling
600 hour internship completed within the Sage Professional School Counseling Program. Five days a week spent within
the counseling office of Niskayuna High School. Daily activities usually include one-on-one counseling sessions, and
consulting with my on-site supervisor about students/school or state policies about specific topics unknown to me. I gained
experience facilitating large group guidance plans by pushing into classrooms, facilitating small group counseling sessions
with students at risk of failing, and had the opportunity to participate in and write lessons for elementary school groups on
sportsmanship, and academic success. I became very familiar with the Niskayuna High School scheduling process and the
PowerSchool program, Naviance,(both from the student perspective and counselor perspective), and became very familiar
with graduation requirements, and the different pathways students can take to get different diplomas. I also had the
opportunity to attend several CSE meetings.
