Dear Sharat,

Please recall that I could not claim the childrens education reimbursement claims
before 2015 in time, as my request for pay hike in lieu of the childrens education
allowance was under the consideration of ICRISAT management. You will agree that
I could not have claimed both the childrens education allowance and the pay hike. As
you are aware the DG ICRISAT informed me that the pay enhancement in lieu of
Childrens Education Allowance will be granted before he leaves ICRISAT, but the
same did not happen.

Had I known that ICRISAT management will renege on its commitment of enhanced
pay in lieu of childrens education allowance, I would have sent my Children to better
schools rather than Government supported schools. Had I known that ICRISAT
would renege in this manner , I would not have even continued to work in ICRISAT
at a much lower pay than my entitlement fixed by the Government of India.

After the new DG told me that he cannot stand by the enhanced pay commitment,
inspite of my entitlement , I started submitting my Childrens Education
reimbursement claims in time from 2015. I clearly mentioned in my covering letter to
the claim that the childrens education reimbursement claim is without prejudice to
honoring of the commitment given to me for enhanced pay in lieu of the childrens
education allowance. I reiterated this position subsequently also and you were good
enough to inform that the childrens education reimbursement claims submitted by
me are being processed.

Surprisingly , even the reimbursement claim for 2015 that was submitted in time has
also not been reimbursed. The reason: a low level functionary in HR locked away my
reimbursement claim and went on long leave.

I would only say that such behavior is highly unbecoming of an organization like
ICRISAT.

I would like to request that ICRISAT pay my dues with penal interest, at the earliest.
