Yes. I did commit after deleting the document. Also confirmed by running printDocument which resposnded with No document found. I
bounced Apached abd i got an error saying that the Document is not found. Region is NULL XML Path=null. (without Start of Root
element clause).

I imported the file again. Checked with print Document, It listed the document. I bounced the apache. When i checked the function, it
erorred out again with the "Start of root element Not found" clause.

32. Re: Unable to find component with absolute reference.

Naresh,
I think your JRAD XML file is corrupt. Please do the following.
- Transfer the xml file back from the server, to your desktop. Open the XML File in JDeveloper Project. See if this works.

Just wanted to cross check that there were no issues with the FTP (bin/txt) etc...!

34. Re: Unable to find component with absolute reference.

I believe that there was some issue during the FTP Transfer to the server. Can you cross check that you are using the text mode for
file transfer.
Action Items:
- Take the proper xml file (that worked in JDev. earlier) and ftp to the server in text mode.
- Test your application after the bounce.

No Luck.

This is the XML FIle. Do you see anything wrong in this file.

We will not be able to tell that by looking at what you had copied here. There might some special characters appended in your xml
file which will not be visible here. Did you try and open it in vi editor to check if there is any invalid caharcters present in the start of
the file. Were you able to open the file in jdeveloper ?

37. Re: Unable to find component with absolute reference.

Naresh,
The fact that
- it works in JDev with the original version.
- it does not work when the xml is transferred to the server and when the file from server is used in JDev.
suggests that there is some issue with the file transfer. Please try to resolve it.

38. Re: Unable to find component with absolute reference.

I had the same issue, I resolved it by getting the MDS name used by oracle:

1. Ensure Document has been loaded:

DECLARE
BEGIN
jdr_utils.printdocument
(p_document => '/xxaai/oracle/apps/pa/taskclosures/app/server/webui/RestrictedTaskWarningInfoPG');
END;

2. Get document id

DECLARE
v_doc_id jdr_paths.path_docid%TYPE;
BEGIN
v_doc_id := jdr_mds_internal.getDocumentID
( '/xxaai/oracle/apps/pa/taskclosures/app/server/webui/RestrictedTaskWarningInfoPG');
dbms_output.put_line(v_doc_id);
END;

3. Get document name using the ID from previous step.

DECLARE
v_comp_name varchar2(4000);
BEGIN
v_COMP_name := jdr_mds_internal.getdocumentName
(87549 );
dbms_output.put_line(v_comp_name);
END;

------>
I used the name from #3 in my function call. It must have been slightly different from the name that I got when I used the XML utility
to load the page. In my case the page loaded successufully, but when I set up the "function" definition in Oracle, I got the error each

time I attempted to call the function. Not sure why there was a difference, but hopefully that will help someone else. I copied and
pasted the component name and used that as part of the function setup in Oracle.
