In idle mode, the User Equipment (UE) has no active connection to the radio access network. Idle Mode Support enables the UE in idle mode to access the network and be reached from the network within acceptable delay.

The feature PM-Initiated UE Measurements provides the means for the operator to configure and run UE measurements for PM purposes. The required configuration of PM-Initiated UE Measurements is made in the Managed Object Model (MOM). The operator can configure two separate intra-frequency Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) measurements. UE measurements are configured per cell. All user equipment within a cell has the same measurement configuration. The operator controls the start and stop of UE measurements using Operations Support Systems - Radio and C
yes
Coverage-triggered session continuity features manage redirection of UE in RRC_CONNECTED mode to a different carrier frequency when the UE measures poor coverage in all cells on the current LTE frequency. The network controls the redirection based on, MOM parameters, feature licenses, UE capabilities, and measurement reports from UE about the serving LTE cell. The following session continuity features manage the redirections: Coverage-Triggered Inter-Frequency Session Continuity; Coverage-Triggered CDMA-eHRPD Session Continuity; Coverage-Triggered WCDMA Session Continui
no (default)
yes Coverage-Triggered CDMA-eHRPD Session Continuity manages the redirection of User Equipment (UE) in RRC_CONNECTED mode towards a CDMA-eHRPD network when the UE measures poor coverage on the LTE network. The redirection is network controlled based upon UE measurement reports of the serving LTE cell.
no (default)
The purpose of the Coverage-Triggered GERAN Session Continuity feature is to manage the redirection of User Equipment (UE) in RRC_CONNECTED mode towards a GERAN network when the UE measures poor coverage in the network. The redirection is network controlled and triggered on UE measurement reports of the serving LTE cell.
yes
The purpose of the Coverage Triggered WCDMA Session Continuity feature is to manage the redirection of User Equipment (UE) in RRC_CONNECTED mode towards a WCDMA network when the UE measures poor coverage in the LTE network. The redirection is controlled by the network and triggered by UE measurement reports of the serving LTE cell.
yes
The purpose of Data Forwarding at Intra-LTE Handover feature is to ensure that no downlink data packets are lost when performing an X2 Intra-LTE handover or intra-eNodeB handover. This is achieved by allocating forwarding user plane tunnels between the source and target RBS during the handover process. Data continuously flows from the Serving Gateway (SGW) to the User Equipment (UE) through source and target RBS until the handover is complete. As a result, Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) throughput degradation is minimized.
yes
no (default)
The main purpose of Packet Forwarding at S1 Handover feature is to reduce packet loss during S1 handover. There is a short interruption in service during the handover time between the source and target RBS and data forwarding ensures that data buffered in the source RBS is not lost
yes
The Subscriber Triggered Mobility feature is a licensed feature from release L12A. It adds both the possibility to configure subscriber-specific mobility priorities and enables the operator to block certain users to perform handover to cells that are in mode "reserved for operator use".
The Coverage-Triggered TD-SCDMA Session Continuity feature uses the Event A2 (serving cell becomes worse than threshold) measurement process as defined in 3GPP documents TS 36.300 and TS 36.331.
yes
The feature enables eNodeBs to respond to Circuit Switched (CS) service requests from LTE UE. When an eNodeB receives a request it directs the UE to GERAN or UTRAN frequencies. The primary CS service is traditional voice traffic. CS fallback is the only method to provide traditional voice services for single radio UE unless IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) Voice over IP (VoIP) services are available. This feature supports the UE to release from the LTE network and attach to the neighboring GERAN or UTRAN with minimal disruption for the end user

yes
no (default) The Delay-Based Scheduling and Grant Estimation feature provides improved average UL and DL throughput for MBB (Mobile Broadband) services in a mixed scenario with both VoIP and MBB services while not reducing the VoIP capacity, specifically when a large number of VoIP users are active in the cell. It is also possible to increase the VoIP capacity instead of improving the average UL and DL throughput for MBB (Mobile Broadband) services. By applying an age dependent weight to VoIP packets scheduling resources are only used for VoIP services when this is required to avoid exceedin

This feature improves the Coverage-Triggered features functionality to increase mobility handling flexibility at poor coverage. It introduces a search zone along the edge of the cell, where User Equipment (UE) measurements search for alternative frequencies and cells.

The purpose of Inter-RAT Offload to WCDMA feature is to hand over traffic load above a configured threshold from an over-utilized Evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) cell to a configured set of UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) FDD cells with extra capacity. This feature uses the introduced method from Inter-frequency Load Balancing for the assessment of traffic load based on the presence of Evolved Radio Access Bearers (E-RAB) in the cell and the Quality of Service (QoS) class to which they belong. The Inter-RAT Offload to WCDMA feature is a network

UL and DL throughput for MBB (Mobile Broadband) services. By applying an age dependent weight to VoIP packets scheduling resources are only used for VoIP services when this is required to avoid exceeding the packet delay budget (pdb). This results in the scheduling of several VoIP packets during a scheduling instance and efficient usage of the RBS resources. The scheduling of VoIP services is improved by utilizing the specific characteristics of VoIP services. The feature also decreases the delay of VoIP packets from UE's that require RLC segmentation since the segments will be scheduled in consecutive TTI's
nt of traffic load based on the presence of Evolved Radio Access Bearers (E-RAB) in the cell and the Quality of Service (QoS) class to which they belong. The Inter-RAT Offload to WCDMA feature is a network feature where neighboring E-UTRAN and UTRAN cells cooperate and perform the traffic load adjustments, without the control of a central node. This feature is an add-on to feature Inter-frequency Load Balancing. These two features can either be operated stand-alone, or one at a time, or in combination to attain simultaneous inter-frequency load balancing and inter-RAT offload. The feature is optional and is license-controlled.
