MONDAY: Romans 12:9-18 Love Competition
We compete for many things, positions, titles.... Scripture calls us to love
genuinely and even outdo each other in love. What if we put as much energy
into creating loving relationships as we do for material and status positions?
CONSIDER: Who loves you best? How might you compete with them in love by
showing them just as much love back?
TUESDAY: Romans 12:9-18 And the List Goes On
Among the marks of a Christian listed in verse 12-13, at which do you excel? In
which do you desire to grow?
PRAYER: I offer up myself to be shaped into a praying, present, patient
Christian.
WEDNESDAY: Romans 12:9-18 Withness
Whether in joy or sorrow, Christians stand with, weep with, celebrate with
each other. What kind of relationship do you think is forged when this happens?
What has it meant when others have been with you?
CONSIDER: Who can you be with today?

Ordinary Ministry - February 19
Scripture: Romans 12:9-18 (NRSV)
Now about eight days after these sayings Jesus took with him Peter and John
and James, and went up on the mountain to pray. And while he was praying,
the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became dazzling white.
Suddenly they saw two men, Moses and Elijah, talking to him. They appeared
in glory and were speaking of his departure, which he was about to accomplish
at Jerusalem. Now Peter and his companions were weighed down with sleep;
but since they had stayed awake, they saw his glory and the two men who
stood with him. Just as they were leaving him, Peter said to Jesus, Master,
it is good for us to be here; let us make three dwellings, one for you, one for
Moses, and one for Elijahnot knowing what he said.

THURSDAY: Philippians 2:12-18 Without Leadership

Paul leaves the church at Phillipi. Its one thing to follow when the leader is
present and a different scenario when the leader leaves. He urges them to
keep faith and obedience while he is away. I imagine its like letting go of the
back of the bicycle and the child rides alone.
PRAYER: You give us leadership to point the way. Give us strength to walk out
that same faith in our everyday lives.

FRIDAY: Philippians 2:12-18 Shine

When we serve without murmuring and complaining, it is viewed as counter to
the world. Its a glimmer of hope, God shining through you.
PRAYER: May I decrease so that you increase in me. And may people see my
habits and ways as a reflection of you in me.

SATURDAY: Philippians 2:12-18 Leader Celebrates You

Paul rejoices over the church. He is glad for them. He is proud of them living
their faith in the world. He boasts even that his work with them is not in vain.
CONSIDER: Have you ever taught someone something and watched them do it?
What did that feel like? Think about a time when you learned something and
