ABSTRACT

This project appraises accounting and audit service delivery in small and
medium scale enterprises. With the aim of achieving the research objective,
the following hypotheses were formulated: Accounting service does not
enhance the performance of Small and medium scale enterprise; audit
services do not have effects on small and medium scale enterprise;
accounting and audit services delivery in small and medium scale
enterprises have not enhanced continuity in the enterprises. A sample size of
100 was drawn from an infinite population and the hypotheses were tested
using the T-test statistic. It was observed that accounting service enhanced
the performance of Small and medium scale enterprise, audit services have
effects on small and medium scale enterprise, and accounting and audit
services delivery in small and medium scale enterprises have enhanced
continuity in the enterprises. It is recommended that SMEs should acquire
accounting and audit services.
