Dear Sir/Madam,

We are pleased to inform you that Agriculture Department, Government of Haryana has released
notification vide notification no 3009/Agri.II(1)-2016/10854 dated 17th June 2016 (Copy
Enclosed) for the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) in the state of
Haryana and Reliance General Insurance Company Limited (RGICL) has been notified for
implementation of PMFBY in the district of Bhiwani, Faridabad, Kurukeshtra, Kaithal, Panchkula,
Rewari and Sirsa for Barley, Gram, Mustard and Wheat under Rabi 2016-17 season.

1. Notified District, Crop and Reference Unit of Insurance: - Village is an Insurance Unit
for all notified crops namely (Barley, Gram, Mustard and Wheat) in all seven Districts
(Bhiwani, Faridabad, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Rewari and Sirsa) allocated to
RGICL for the implementation of PMFBY Rabi 2016-17.
2. Indemnity Level: - will be 90% in case of all notified crops.
3. Loaning Period: - The Crop Loan Sanctioned (for notified crop & areas) from 1st October
2016 to 31st December 2016 shall be insured on compulsory basis. All KCC holders shall be
insured compulsorily on the basis of insured crop loan for the season.
4. Cut-off Dates for the receipt of Declarations: - The cut-off date for receipt of declaration
with complete documents by RGICL for loanee farmers is 15 working days from 31st December
2016 (19th January 2017) and for non-loanee farmers is 7 working days from 31st December
2016 (9th January 2017).
5. Individual Farmer Details: - It may please be noted that while furnishing us the duly filled in
declaration for the notified area (Village) and notified crops, the banks must also furnish us the
details of individual insured farmers in the format as enclosed with this letter.

7. Bank Service Charges: - Bank service charge is 4% on the farmers share of premium.
8. Farmers to be covered: -

1. All farmers including share-croppers and tenant farmers growing the notified crops in the
Insured Unit (List enclosed) will be eligible for coverage under the scheme.
2. All farmers availing Seasonal Agriculture Operations (SAO) loans from financial institutions
(i.e loanees farmers) for the notified crops would be covered compulsorily.
3. The scheme will be optional for the non-loanee farmers.

9. Important Cut-off dates: -
