Writing 1 and oral project part 1
In this first writing you will write a text about your favorite character (actor,
actress, singer, friend, member of the family) for this, you are going to do a
complete description in the 4th following paragraphs:

1. Describe your character using vocabulary about physical description,

personality and feelings. Besides, use the verbs studied to this purpose.
(have got, verb to be, wear)
Example:
My favorite character is Chris Martin the leader singer of the Coldplay rock
band. He is a young man who is in his forties. About his physical description, he
is tall, thin and handsome. He has got green and rounded eyes, he has got a
large, pale face with beautiful lips. He has got a beard and a moustache. He
has got short, blond hair and he doesnt wear any glasses or accessories.
He looks like really happy and friendly but he is a little shy. He is very generous
and lovable. Besides he is a really talent musician.
2. Using a picture, describe his or her clothes style and what is he or she
wearing at the picture. (use present simple and continuous and
vocabulary about clothes and style)
Example:
As you can see in this picture, he wears an informal style but rock one.
He is wearing a black, leather jacket and a white, cotton t-shirt. He is wearing
Grey, cotton, classic pants and a pair of red and black, comfortable tennis to be
more
Sportive. As he is very classic, he is wearing a black, wool scarf as accessory.

3. Write a short paragraph explaining his or her personal preferences

(use verbs like, love, hate and prefer, present simple and continuous)

Chris likes going to the beach with his family and of course he loves playing the
guitar,
But he prefers singing with his band. He hates appearing of magazines because
he is very shy. At the moment, he is working on new music and he expects to
have his new album this year. He is planning a tour and a set of new musical
videos.
4. Write the reason why you choose this character for the description.
Finally, I choose this character because I love listening to his music since I
was at the university. I prefer paying attention to this kind of alternative
music than popular music. I hate listening reggeton music because of their
life style. They prefer being superficial and shallow.
5. Prepare some questions for your partner related to describing people.
For example:

How old is your character?

What is his favorite free activity?
What does he hate about life?
How popular is he-she in our country?
How good is he at playing music, acting, cooking?

Dont forget to send this writing by my email before Monday 20 th so I can

correct it to be this your base for the oral project.
Oral project part 1. Date Saturday February 25th 2017
The oral project is the socialization of your writing to your partners.
Individually, you are going to present to a group of 4 classmates the
information (description, clothes, likes, dislikes) of your favorite character
for 5 minutes.
You need a picture in order to show the information you are giving.
One of your partner is going to evaluate you according to the following
items:

Grammar usages
pronunciation and intonation
use of vocabulary
preparation of your presentation
and the way you ask and answer the questions in the group.
