The Noel Road Gators started off their hunt for
gold Monday night in Shubie by edging the East Hants
Trojans 4-3 in a classic barn burner type contest.
The Gators jumped out quickly and built a 3-0 lead
within 10 minutes. Ray White, Luke Macphee after
career years in U-18 opened up scoring with co-captain
Andrew Dickson, Shakin & Bakin through the entire
defence to make it 3-0. Tight defence employed by
Jonathan Miller, Jon Campbell and Ashley “the Agitator”
Dickson kept East Hants at bay before clawing back
to make it 3-2. After some heroics by goalie Justin
White, captains Miller & Dickson, marched the ball
down the field in the final minute and Luke
MacPhee banged home the winner!
The Gators see action tonight in Shubie at 7:30
vs East Hants U-18 rep and
next Monday in Shubie at 7:30 vs the Trojans.
