Time Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:

Activities :
aTeacher and the pupils sing the song Fruit Salad together. textbook
b.. Pupils are asked to list down all the fruits in the song within 5 seconds.
c. Teacher then shows the PowerPoint presentation of fruits and drills the kids using
CGI (class, group and individual) method.
d. Then, teacher will choose 3 pupils to identify the local and imported fruits from the
picture. Teacher will accept any given answers as later it will be discussed with the
others.
e. Later, teacher distributes Worksheet to the pupils and they complete it based on the
instructions read by the teacher.
f. The pupils are given 15 minutes to complete it.
g. Once done, pupils and teacher will discuss it and pupils will do immediate corrections.
h.LBI activities:
a. Display the letter card ie. (Appendix 2)
b. Pupils articulate the phoneme /aI/.
c. Place a letter before ie, e.g. p. Pupils articulate
the phoneme.
d. Pupils read the word pie.
e. Repeat by replacing the letter p with t, l and d.

Time Teaching Aids: text book (pg. 113), cut out pictures from the same page.

Activities:
1. Starter (5 min)Teacher introduces sentence pattern and vocabulary
unique, features, resembles, broken, upside down, leaning using pictures
on page 113 of textbook.
2. Round Robin (15 min) Teacher gets students to sit in groups of
4.Teacher gives each group a picture from page 113. Students take turn to
talk about the picture while the other members in the group listens. Each
student say only one sentence in a round. They can help one another. They
can talk about the picture until the given time is up.
3. One stay three stray (20 min) - Three group members go to the other
groups ( one group each) and listen to the group member who stays
describe the picture. Then they go back to their own group and take turn to
tell each member what they heard from the other groups.
4. Presentation (15 min) - A representative from each group comes out and
describes their picture and other students guess which building they are
talking about.
Teacher puts up the correct picture when answer has been given.
5. Plenary (5 min) Teacher distributes worksheet and students number the
picture described by the teacher. (Use picture from page 113 but arrange in
different order)
