Instructions for the mobile manual testing template

In this spreadsheet youll find two tabs: Research and Testing & Tracking

Research:
1 - Make a plan and decide mobile manual use cases- In this table you can start thinking about the test cases you
- You can give your use case a name that describes it
- You can fill in a longer description of what youll be testing
- And add the gaol for that particular test case, everything youll test and how it should function

2 - Define your own click path for use cases

- You can use this table to define your click path click by click, so that it will be easier to execute the same test o
- Filling cells in here will update cells in the testing & tracking sheet

3 - Research your target market

- All the values you see in the different tables should be replaced based on your target market (we used global v
- If you change the percentage in the tables, you will see the piechart change accordingly
- How to read all the informationin the piecharts (based on our research now with 5 testing devices to choose):
- Mobile OS distribution: this table shows that Android has the biggest market share, so 2/3 of your testing de
devices
- Android OS Version: at least 2 of the 3 Android device should run Lollipop/Kitkat
- iOS OS version: at least 1 iOS device should run iOS 9.x
- Android Screen sizes: all of your testing devices should be in the normal screen size range
- Device manufacturers: at least 2 of the 3-4 Android devices should be from Samsung, 1-2 from Apple.

4 - List of the testing devices

- Based on the information you extracted from the pie charts, you can use websites like http://www.phonearen
- In this table is our list of devices based on the information from section nr.3
- Updating devices in this table will update the testing & tracking sheet

- The clicks paths are defined again, with the possibility to mark with a green cell (writing ok) or with a red cell

and 4,5". If you want 5 testing devices, 3 should be chosen based on this column.
2 should be Android devices with Android KitKat and Lollipop. One should be an
iOS 9.x iOS device with iOSX 9.x . At least one of the 2 Android devices should be from
iOS 8.x Samsung, if not both. Use websites like http://www.phonearena.com/phones# to
iOS 7.x search for phones with the right characteristics based on your previous research.
