URBAN TRIBES

Chakas: They are characterized by being young people who behave like
"bad guys", wear striking branded clothing, drive big cars or tuned
motorcycles, and in some cases imitate the behavior of narcos (without
becoming).

Other times, the word chaka refers to who carries objects or carries an
extravagant lifestyle. This term is mainly used in Mexico.

Cumbieros: They are called cumbieros to an urban tribe present in countries

of Latin America (mainly Argentina), named for its interest in cumbia, a
musical genre from which arise several subgenres such as cumbia villera,
cumbia santafesina or cumbia romntica.

The cumbieros usually organize themselves in groups of young people of

low or middle classes that are united in their free moments and they are
characterized to have a common aesthetic and a great feeling of group.
Traditionally it has been said that they get along with other tribes like
floggers.

The bikers: Bikers (or bikers in English) are well known in the United States
and other countries like Mexico and Canada. Here is a summary of its history
and characteristics:

Origin: Bikers are people of all ages (usually between 18 and 50 years) who
meet with their motorcycles for the pleasure of driving. They often join
together in so-called "Motorcycle Clubs" (Motorcycle Clubs or Riding Clubs)
that can range from informal organizations that view motorcycles as a
hobby, to much more organized and hierarchical bands.

The origin of biker clubs emerges and becomes popular in the United States,
although there are now biker clubs in countries like Mexico, Canada,
Australia, Scotland or Ecuador.
Las Lolitas: Lolitas are Japanese girls who dress in a characteristic way with
flashy dresses, with delicate appearance, and with hairstyles, makeup and
elaborate complements.

There are several types of lolitas, which dress slightly differently:

- On the one hand we can find classic Japanese lolitas (Classic Lolita) that
have an aristocratic aesthetic, with dresses similar to those worn by upper
classes of Japan centuries ago (with black or colored kimonos, with
elaborate prints and drawings).

- On the other hand, we can also find Sweet-lolitas (sweet lolitas) with a
more modern aesthetic, influenced by the kawaii style. They wear brightly
colored clothes (pink, white, light blue ...) and have a more delicate and
tender appearance.

In both cases, sometimes it has been compared to lolitas with girls of

perfect esthetics, almost like dolls.
- Finally, we have the Gothic Lolitas that dress in dark colors, similar to the
Gothic, mixing the Gothic culture with his.

In addition, there are also other subtendings in the form of dress: hime
(princesses), country (rural life), wa and qi (traditional clothes), kuro (black
dresses), shiro (white dresses), cyberlolita , Casual, maid, etc.

Origin: The origin of lolita fashion comes from Japan, like other styles like
otakus, cosplays or kawaiis.

Their beginnings began in Japan in the decades of the 70 and 80, and they
were mixing several different cultures to result in the lolita culture that we
know at the moment.

Current presence: The lolitas fashion is mostly present in young girls from
Japan (16 to 30 years), although its fame has spread to other Asian
countries and the rest of the world as for example in Latin America and
some European countries.

Interests and activities: The interests of lolitas may vary depending on the
subculture to which they belong.

While classic lolitas are interested in a more sober dress, sweet lolitas are
related to the kawaii style. This style mostly refers to the way of dressing,
and to the appearance of objects.
