people are into foods and different innovative exotic dishes. But as time
passed by they are always into something new and imported products that
they totally forget the fruits usually found in their backyard, whats more
cautious is they already ignoring this wonders of nature because some of
them are preferred to eat junk foods which proven to be delicious but not
nutritious. Even in school canteen sells sugary soft drinks and junk foods to
the students, which makes the students prove to loose bowel movement and
food poisoning. Thats why we took these as an opportunities to our

innovative product, observe proper sanitation, preparation, storage and
provide the best product in the market that will cater the needs of our
clients.

Threats in the competing industry

The threats of our company are the competitors like school canteens,
food stalls inside and outside the schools. Also the changing of customers
taste and preferences is the threats of our company. Shortage of raw
materials can be effect of our product. New competitors entering the
marketplace can threaten or decrease the market share and profitability of
existing competitors and may result in charges to existing product quality or
price levels. Other business in the market might copy our product that will
affect the number of our customers.

Coping strategies

New products- if you pace threats from new products that offer superior
performance to your existing range incorporate new product development
plans in your long term strategy. You can overcome the threat in the short
term through a strategy of sourcing or licensing new products from business
partners.

New competitors- with a strong market offering can threaten to reduce your

trends, the peoples most likely to buy, in that case we can find out an idea

Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) in Tacloban city has a lot of


potential customers. The large number of population in that area is the
reason why there is a lot of businesses operating in that said area. Especially
because it is near in downtown area which is the center of the business in
Tacloban city.

Our company had conducted some research in able to determine our


target market, on our research we determine that students is the highest
number that patronize snack, in that case we expect that we can get a
highest percentage demand to them. The stimulated allowance of the
students has a maximum of one hundred fifty pesos a day and a minimum of
fifty pesos a day.

We can also expect that we can get other potential customers outside
of the school, the residence of quarry district which also has a numbers of
population and the near schools in EVSU, those area are part of our market
area coverage.
