1. What were your concerns when you were pregnant? A lot. Because I had a very sensitive pregnancy. 2. Concerns such as? The babys health and my health what I should do and not to do. Making sure the baby is fine so its important to have a regular check- up and important to keep in touch to our doctor. Drink vitamins and nutritious food. Making sure na makapit yung baby. Regular rest and do not do too much work kasi baka mastress. May bad effect din un pagstressful. 3. Was it difficult for you? A little bit. But I had learned from my sisters pregnancy. Some of the dos and donts but I had to take precautions because I had a sensitive pregnancy. 4. How would you explain yourself during your pregnancy? Ay, emotional ako. Hahaha. I had mood swings and I was demanding to the food I wanted to my husband. I was choosy on what I wanted to eat so he had to wake up just to buy me my food. I love my husband. 5. Your husband is very kind to be helping you. Did you have difficulties during your pregnancy? Not much. Just that I had to be careful in what I should eat and do. 6. Did you take a lot of medicines? Only those that were prescribed by my doctor. But mostly I took vitamins. I needed a lot of vitamins. 7. Why is that so? Im obese and I understand na may effect yun. And for my health also. 8. Was it difficult for you to shift from your single life to a pregnant life? Yes. Very much. 9. Can you please cite an example? There was a lot to do when I found out I was pregnant. I had to put off work that is very difficult for me. I also had to have a new diet that will match my pregnancy. And I had to put off smoking. 10. Thats good. Because smoking affect the baby. How about drinking? I also had to stop drinking. Saying pero kailangan. 11. What were your preparations for your baby? I learned from my sisters experience and I also took classes to be prepared. And may relatives naman kaya nagtanong tanong na rin ako. I also have my hubby who helped me take classes and supported me when I felt uncomfortable. 12. What discomforts did you feel? I felt hot and cold all the time, I also had back pains and I had muscle strains when I stood for too long or when I sit down for too long. 13. And what did you do when you felt muscle strains? I exercised but not hard exercises. 14. What exercises did you do? I rented a video and I learned there. Its exercise for pregnant mothers. I also took a class with my hubby. 15. Your hubby is very supportive. So what happened during your labor? Ah. Cesarean ako. Hindi ako nagtulak. Kasi foot first yung baby. 16. How did you feel during the process? I felt fine. I didnt feel pain because of the anesthesia. 17. And how did you feel when you saw the baby? Exhausted and very happy because the baby is here and safe already. But I had to rest after that. I had to recover. II. Experience During Childhood 1. Was is hard for you the first time you took home the baby? Not so much because I learned from the pregnancies of my family and relatives especially to my sisters. I also took classes to be more informed. And I had my hubby to help me. But it was very stressful. 2. Stressful how? It was stressful kasi iyak siya ng iyak eh di na kami nakakatulog. But my hubby was very helpful. We took turns in taking care of the baby, feeding her and all. 3. How was the baby on her first year? The baby was healthy and very cheerful. She would roll around and pull the hair of anybody. She scratched but not that much. When she got a cold I would go to the doctor to have her checked up. And when I get sick I also go to the doctor because my child is still breastfeeding so I have to be careful. 4. How was Megan on breastfeeding? Ay choosy siya. Kung magdedede siya eh sa right breast ko lang. Ayaw niya sa left. Kaya minsan eh mabigat ung left breast ko ta sung right eh wala lang. 5. When did she start walking? Around her the last of her first year she started standing with support, without support then walking with support. Then there were times she explored walking without support but she fell. She stood up and tried again. 6. What motherly traits can you notice that is very effective to your child? To be patient and kind. You have to be very careful of your actions around her so I had to be careful on what I would say and do. 7. Now that she is three what does she do often? She loves to play around. When she wakes up she wakes up everybody in the house. She also like tasting food but when she doesnt like it shell spit it out on you. She is very picky when it comes to milk. I had to buy a number of brands just to satisfy her needs. And she picked the most expensive one. One of her favorite snacks is mushed bananas. She liked all things mashed. 8. Were there difficulties when she grew up? Wala naman masyado. Just that when she gets sick I bring her to the doctor to be sure. I had to be careful because my niece has asthma and theres a possibility that my baby has it as well. 9. Does she have asthma? No she doesnt. 10. What motherly traits do you have that may have helped her grow up into a beautiful and caring 3-year old? Love. Thats all. Lots of love and care.
