Reading
I would like to do a review week to catch
up on a couple of concepts that we
learned earlier. This will give the
opportunity for some mastery in a few
areas of our comprehension that weve
introduced.
We will take the week off of spelling
since I didnt get the list out before the
storm. We can spend some good time
reviewing these sounds concepts in our
reading but especially writing.
Social Studies
We will be getting into a science unit next.
This will be a physical science unit based on
the laws of motion. Its a STEM (Science
Technology Engineering Math) kit called
Pinballs
We will be going through the scientific process
while we make pinball boards.

Math
We have one day left on diagonals and midpoints
from our geometry unit.
After that, well be working on subtracting two digit
numbers. This will be the first time that weve
borrowed when subtracting, so watch for some
confusion on this concept at the beginning but
also some homework to come home to practice
what weve learned during the day.

home this week for parent/teacher
conferences. Please be sure to put it on
your calendar. Id like to meet with you
that afternoon/night.
Report cards will be coming home on

that you may have at conference time.
