todotheworkonthebook.Ifaplowisdisplacedacrossafield,thensomeformoffarmequipment
(usuallyatractororahorse)suppliestheforcetodotheworkontheplow.Ifapitcherwindsupand

asmechanicalenergy.
Mechanicalenergyistheenergythatispossessedbyanobjectduetoits
motionorduetoitsposition.Mechanicalenergycanbeeitherkinetic
energy(energyofmotion)orpotentialenergy(storedenergyofposition).
