MISSION STATEMENT
Art education is essential to developing the unique 21st century learners within your school district. The arts teach
skills such as innovative thinking, problem-solving, communication, dedication, inquiry, and more, thus; molding
them to become productive citizens able to succeed in todays complex society. Learning through meaningful art-
making is a way for students to discover their identities, connect with history, and relate to local and global
communities. With high expectations, interactive project-based learning, and an exploration of self-expression
within a positive, safe learning environment, all students entering my room will thrive artistically and creatively.
