Course: Portuguese Language (6 and 9 years)
General Purpose
Provide knowledge of Portuguese, aiming at competence development-oriented oral
and written student productions, allowing the acquisition of knowledge in differ
ent areas of human knowledge.
Main Objective
This plan assumes that the path to the renewal of language teaching, especially
in grammar, does not imply a break with the historically and culturally acquired
content, eg, noun, subject, agreement, etc.. Nor is this either to omit naming
or replace it with another, this or that linguistic theory. The effort of this p
lan is to give a new treatment to these contents, which are now being seen also
from the viewpoint of semantics, the stylistics, linguistics and discourse analy
sis. In summary, we believe that the teaching of Portuguese, today, must address
the reading, the production of text and grammatical studies in the same languag
e perspective - the perspective of language as a tool for communication, action
and social interaction. In this sense, change is the focus, methodology and stra
tegies of the Portuguese language teaching, which essentially turns to an integr
ated reading, writing papers and thinking about language, developed under a text
ual perspective and enunciation.
