Chairmen Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan says that terrorism could only be
controlled with the merger of KPK with these federally administered areas. He was addressing a
press conference at HHAYABAD MEDICAL COMPLEX after recent terrorist attack. Most of
these areas are underdeveloped due to insufficient budget that is only Rs.50 billion solely for
KPK and is expected to get doubled after this merger.. Without development and infrastructure
peace cannot be made and law cannot be enforced. He also added that these tribal areas are in
ruin since past decade and needs to be brought to main stream line in order to reduce this new
wave of terrorism. These are the reasons for the resistance by the locals that is more triggered by
inferiority complex. It is essential for repercussion of the benefits from operation Zarb E Azab
and national action plan to speed up this process.

Imran Khan says that with this mergence the combined budget of KPK and these areas will reach
up to Rs.100 billion start development in these effective areas. He is concerned about discussing
the steps to accelerate this mergence. The government was left with no other choice but to merge
