WRITING A Corporate

When we write a corporate email, we have to consider that the person

who will read it does not often have a lot of time to reading
emails. Thus, you should be concise, clear and to the point.

Dear Helen;
The president called up this morning and asked about the
weekly report. Is it ready yet? If it is, please send me by
email.
Thanks.
Regards;
Claudio.

Notice that, Claudio was very concise and clear about what he wanted
from Helen. Yet the message was correctly passed.

What is the capital of Portugal? Do you think its a nice city?

Coimbra is a very old city on the
River Mondego between Porto
and Lisbon in central Portugal.
There is a lot of history in
Coimbra and there are a lot of
beautiful old buildings.

But it is also a lively and exciting

place. Some people call it the

October there is a party to
welcome the new students, and
then there is another one in May
which lasts about a week.

So if you like dancing and

partying, that is a very good
time to go. But if you want a
quiet holiday, go during the
university summer holidays
because there isnt much activity
in Coimbra then.

Coimbra has something for

everyone: history, culture,
nightlife and great food. And
there is lots of sunshine, too.

If you are a music-lover, it is also

a great place to enjoy or
discover the fado, a typically
Portuguese style of music.
