Hank Williams, Jr. To Replace Brooks & Dunn

At Fort Loramie’s Country Concert July 8
On Tuesday, June 22, Brooks and Dunn announced having to cancel three
weeks of their Last Rodeo Tour due to illness. At the recommendation of his
doctor, Ronnie Dunn was put on vocal rest for three weeks. The cancellations
include their scheduled performance at the Country Concert in Fort Loramie on
July 8.
When the event promoters received word, they immediately informed their
fans via Facebook and the countryconcert.com website. They then set out to
find a replacement Super Star for Thursday night and within 24 hours the leg-
endary Hank Williams, Jr agreed to fill the spot.
"It was an exciting 24 hours," said promoter Mike Barhorst. "We hire the
biggest stars in country music and when one gets sick, the chances of replacing
Hank Williams, Jr.

Darke County Singles will host their Carry-In Summer
Picnic & Dance Saturday, July 10. The picnic will start at 7:30
p.m. Meat and dinnerware will be provided. Please bring a

Dancing will be held from 8:30 ‘til midnight, with music by
“Country Classic.”
This event, to be held at the VFW Hall, 219 N. Ohio St.,
Greenville, is open to all singles 21 years of age and over.

and many others. In all, 19 Nashville recording artists will perform over the
three days.
