AGENDA COMMENTS/RESOLUTION

I Send-Off 2017 The Dean mentioned that it will be the

last activity of the College of Law for
this semester. She was hoping that it
will be as successful as the previous
activities that they had for the past
months. She informed the body that the
scheduled date for the Send-off is on
March 4, 2017 at Sacred Heart Center.
II Time of Registration and The Dean asked the group if they will
Program proper adopt the scheduled time of program
last send-off which is 5:00 oclock in the
afternoon or would it be earlier. The
body asked the opinion of Mr. Sierra
since he is one of the seniors. Mr. Sierra
said that most of his classmates prefers
earlier time to start the program,
preferably 4:00 oclock in the afternoon.
Hence, the body moved that the
registration shall start at 3:00 oclock in
the afternoon and the program proper
shall start at 4:00 oclock.
III Prayer Most of the VOV Officers suggested and
agreed that the prayer will be led by the
SMU Chorale. The Dean said that she
will send a letter regarding such.
IV Opening Remarks The Dean told that she already talked to
Atty. Jonathan Budaden and he agreed
that he will do the opening remarks.
V Inspirational Message The Dean said that the inspirational
message will be given by Atty. Wilma
Binbinon. She added that all the faculty
members must be given a chance to
speak before the students to inspire
them and share their stories.
VI Intermission Number It was already a tradition that the First
Years Students are the in-charge of the
intermission numbers.
VII Avocado Awards The Dean told the officers to ask the
help of Judge Valmores in preparing the
Avocado Awards. The officers shall
prepare 13 sash, crown, and certificate.
VIII Token The Dean asked suggestions for the
tokens which will be given to the
graduating students. Mr. Danguilan
suggested that personalized tumbler
would be great. He explained that words
or picture can be put inside the tumbler
but such can only be visible when you
pour hot water inside the tumbler. Ms.
Cabanting also suggested transparent
bag as another token. She also
mentioned that a lawyer suggested that
logos of SMU and SMU College of Law
should be printed in the bags to serve
as identity of Marian Bar takers. The
Dean added that CICM logo must also
be included.
The body unanimously decided that
tumbler and transparent bag will be
given as tokens during the send-off
since it would be useful for the bar
review and examination.
Ms. Herminia Lazo, Ms. Aileen Cabanting
and Dwight Dangilan were the in-charge
of the tokens.

IX Poem The Dean told that the poem for the

seniors is important because it could
serve as inspiration and reminder to
them that they are Marian future
lawyers.
Ms. Hazel Buctayon was tasked to
prepare for the poem which will be
printed in the tumblers.
X Response from the Mr. Sierra asked if there will only be one
graduating class who will speak in behalf of the the
regular and the executive class.
The Dean pointed out that the
experiences of the regular and the
executive are different. Hence there
shall be two who shall give response
( one from the regular and one from the
executive class).
XI Motif of dress/attire Ms. Buctayon and Ms. Coma suggested
the color of red. However majority of the
body agreed that the motif is any touch
of green.
XII Foods and Drinks Based from the experiences, the body
unanimously agreed that the foods and
drinks shall be prepared by Balai Gloria.
The privilege to choose the menu was
given to the graduating students. Based
on the given list of menu they will
choose one meat, one vegetable, one
desert and one kind of drinks.
XIII Decorations The Dean said that if Balai Gloria will be
in-charge of the decoration additional
8,000 pesos will be given as payment.
Hence the body agreed that it will be Mr.
Sherwin Saquing who shall make the
decorations and flowers since his
service is also good and more
affordable.
XIV Masters of Ceremony Emcees will be Mr. Bryan Gai Idmilao
and Jeaneth Bango.
XV Name of each Class Batch Atty. Argote suggested that each Batch
must have Batch name to serve as their
identity. The body expressed their
